Hey all.... so I'm heading to WDW in mid-December, just before Christmas. I'm not planning on doing MVMCP, but can someone tell me what their "must-dos" are for Christmas? Certain lobbies, decorations, etc...
For example, I know that GF, BC and WL have decorated lobbies. And apparently different Santas at Epcot WS? What else should I be on the lookout for?

Lights on Cinderella Castle, Osborne Lights.

Candlelight processional! Was an awesome way to start the holiday season...I saw it in early Dec a few years ago, and it just left me with a great feeling for the season.

Osbourne Lights and the lights on the castle. Also, the Christmas trees at the deluxe hotels. If I am really lucky, I get to hear the bell choir in front on the tree at GF. Looking at my list, guess I love lights!

I loved the Port Orleans Resorts for Christmas. However, I have heard that Wilderness Lodge is gorgeous for the holidays as well. I'm hoping with the pool refurb I can get a good deal in December.

We've enjoyed the orchestra in the GF and the live Choir in WL's lobby. Epcot has narrations on the customs of Christmas in the particular country--very interesting. You'll get a schedule included in the park brochure.

We LOVED the storytellers in each of the countries of WS last year!! Pere Noel (France) and Father Christmas (UK) were particular favorites. Entertaining and very gracious in posing with the kids for photos after their stories. Make sure and get a photo with Santa in the American pavilion. I swear that's the REAL one....not one of his helpers! ;)

Do not miss the Osborne lights. And make sure you give yourself enough time to wander. The atmosphere there is absolute magic.

My top resort lobby recommendations would be Grand Fla, Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Club, Animal Kingdom & the POFQ lobby & grounds are nice as well.

Totally agree. This is my favorite attraction in all of Disney.

Don't forget the Gingerbread Men!! I know they are year round in a couple of places, but they are more plentiful during Christmas season!

The campers at Ft. Wilderness often decorate their campsites. It is a bit out of the way, but I think it is worth it. You can also see the Electric Water Parade
from the fort.

Gingerbread house at GF is amazing and a "should see", but for whatever reason, we LOVE the gingerbread men at America in Epcot.

Thanks everyone! I'll make sure to do a tour of the lobbies of BWV (I'll be staying there), BC (across the lake,) AKL (be staying there, too), WL (be staying at BLT...yes I'm doing a three-resort split stay in 5 nights,) and that's it. I won't go on GF because I rather dislike the place. I think my dislike stems from watching it being built while staying at my all-time favorite Polynesian growing up. All of a sudden, this huge, stuffy monstrosity was in my view.

Great to hear about the all the other ideas, too. Thanks!!:thumbsup2
