Best table service restaurant in MK

Yes, this will be for our trip in September of next year. Where do you hear about these new table service meals being offered?

I am getting married in June, then taking a short New Hampshire trip, then our official honeymoon in September

How wonderful, congratulations!!

I'm not sure how they are on these boards if you post links, so just google Be Our Guest restaurant and you'll get lots of info (or at least what's out there)

I'm so excited about this, might be the #1 thing I'm looking forward to, hopefully I can get a dinner ressie! :goodvibes

Among the Table Service Restaurants in the Magic Kingdom I have been to is Liberty Tree Tavern, Tony's Town Square, and The Plaza.

Personally I think the best one out of those locations is Liberty Tree Tavern.

Aww thank you, and to you as well!! Have a fabulous time in Vegas, win BIG!!:cool1:

Thank you! That seems to be the common trend. Does this mean that LTT will be packed no matter what?

I think I would go for Ohana over Whispering Canyon.

Ohana can be a little rushed, but the food is out of this world!!

The boat to Wilderness Lodge can take awhile to and from. The actual lodge is beautiful, and Whispering Canyon is a real hoot. The food is pretty good, but not as good as Ohana at the Polynesian.

If you do go to Whispering Canyon, make sure to get ketchup for your fries. It is a special blend, and you have to ask for it. Yumm!

If you're going to hop on the monorail, don't count out The Contemporary. The Wave is quite good. AND it's walkable... maybe 10min walk to the Magic Kingdom from the resort - we love that.

Depends what kind of meal you're looking for... check out all those menus out there! :thumbsup2

We love both LTT (lunch menu) and The Plaza. As for LTT I'm not a lover of turkey and like my own pot roast so we picked the lunch menu eating a little later in the afternoon. We really really enjoyed the colony salad and both the ooey gooey toffee cake and the apple tart!!!!! In fact we have an adr for next January/February! Our service wasn't fast but wasn't slow either. We were happy to sit a spell. As for The Plaza I am a lover of ice cream so this was a no brainer. Also, their french fries were really really good. Enjoy making your choice!!!!!!! :)

Well it seems you have already ruled out Tony's but I'll add my 2 cents anyways... I have always been learly of Tony's bc of the reviews but I finally tried it this month and can't say it was bad. I am Italian myself and very leary of non-authenic Italian, I'm a homemade sauce kinda guy. With that said the food wasn't bad and an unexpected suprise was we happened to be there during the 3:00 parade and we were seated out front on the porch, front row seats! Our server was great but any meal at any resturant can be ruined by a server having a bad day.

My pick in the parks would be Liberty Tree. This one was another I was long leary of because of mixed reviews but they are now on my favorites list. All the food was great, I really liked the beef and the apple crisp for desert was delicious.

If you did a resort then I would say either Ohana or WCC.

I agree that out of those actually in MK, I would pick LTT if you don't want a character meal. I've eaten there for lunch and really liked the pot roast. We didn't like Tony's dinner. It was not very good Italian.

No mention yet of The Grand Floridian Cafe or The Wave -- relatively easy to get walk-ins.

If you decide to do DDP, definitely go with the LTT dinner. It was really yummy; my mom said it was her favorite meal on the last trip. They recently changed the dessert to an apple-craisin cake with ice cream. Probably one of the best desserts of my life.

If you are paying OOP, the Plaza is a really good value for a table service meal. The sandwiches, fries, and ice cream were all delicious. My vegetarian sister enjoyed this meal the most. I liked both a great deal and was pleasantly surprised with both.

Have never eaten here in all our visits, but made ADRs for lunch in January. Now I'm REALLY looking forward to it. I love Craisins...that combination sounds delish!

I like Crystal Palace. My DB and DSIL like LTT. I have never been. Too heavy for me. Lately, I go to another place to eat and don't spend money in MK for table service. You might consider the Wave at the Contemporary. It is just a short monorail ride/walk away. Personally, I like Sonny Eclipse.:rotfl:

How was the service at LTT? I should have mentioned that I am a waitress, and like to have at least decent service. I am not crazy picky, but appreciate a good waiter/waitress.

That is what we are going to do :) we are going to the Poly to ohanas i think. we ate a crystal palace and tony's last year and hubby loved the CP breakfast. but this year we are packing our own food for breakfast :)

Hopping on the monorail to Poly or GF is very easy (or taking the ferry, which also goes to Wilderness Lodge). But, if you really want to try an MK restaurante you definitely can't go wrong with either the Plaza or Liberty Tree Tavern :thumbsup2

And PS - I also have had 2 gross meals at Tony's and will never go back!

I vote LTT all the way!!!:thumbsup2 I love the dinner. They serve a strawberry vin dressing w/ the salad & the bread is very good too. Everything else is good, like thanksgiving. Lunch looks good as well but I never had it b/c I never want to miss the dinner. It's served family style all you can eat. Which I like very well. Beware even if you don't order 2nds you'll be stuffed to the max. Then comes dessert.
