What would you consider the best steak restaurant? Im looking for a steak thats barely seasoned with no fancy stuff. I want a steak, with some salt and pepper seasoning, maybe some garlic. Like Emeril does at his places.

Any ideas? I know about the Outbacks and Black Angus places. Thanks for the help. JW

For us it has to be the Yachtsman Steak House. Close behind is Artist Point, Jiko and Flying Fish (go figure).

You'll no doubt get a lot of recommendations for LeCellier, but IMHO it doesn't come close to YSH.

IMHO, Yachtsman Steak House has the best steak at WDW bar none! We even watched one of the chefs slice veal behind a window while we were waiting for our table.

Our favorites are the NY at Flying Fish and the Filet at Jiko's. Oh ... but now that I think about it ... Shula's in the Dolphin is also a top contender! (We used to eat at the Yachtsman ... but Jiko's bumped it from our "must do" list.)

I had a filet at Citricos that was better than anything I've had at Yachtsman.

At Jiko's a great filet comes with Mac and Cheese, it was yummy!!!

I agree hands down with the Yachtsman.

I wen to the Le Cellier with relatives that RAVED about it...gross...it was like the Outback is to Mortons...not even in the same league.

Have fun.

Shula's hands down. Great steak, great service....not sure how any other steak I eat now will beat it!!

I would have to say that the best steak & service I have had while at WDW was at Shula's. Of course, that has been several years ago. DH & I were at WDW Dec. 7-14. We had steak at Narcoosees, Cali Grill, and Yachtsman. All were good.

Another vote for Yachtsman.

Yatchsman is good, wouldn't put it in the Mortons or Ruth Chris Rankings but good by Disney Standards.

Turf Club at SSR is hit or miss, a few weeks ago the Prime Rib and Strip were both big misses. Last February both were fairly good. They do make a very good hamburger / Cheeseburger but I recommend getting the onion rings instead of the fries.

Never had any luck eating in Canada, LeCellier, steaks always overcooked, tough and just downright disappointing. They seem to try to rush you through there and fit too many people into a smaller dining area. Too bad to because we have always heard great things, just never experienced anything great there.

Shulas is the best steak place on property. Its also the most expensive.

Yachtsman and Le Cellier are the only Disney (as in 'on the dining plan - and I think both are owned by Disney) steak houses. Yachtman is a little more expensive. I haven't been. I've had decent steaks at Le Cellier, good steaks at Le Cellier and one inedible steak at Le Cellier (ok, that one was my husbands).

Every signature place will have steak on their menu - and all are pretty good generally speaking (we had one not great steak at Narcoosees years ago). But you might want to check menus for preperation. The mac-n-cheese steak at Jiko is excellent steak, with excellent mac n cheese, but its really a waste of a steak if you don't like the preperation.

We've always enjoyed Le Cellier, although since the advent of the Dining Plan, it has been way overcrowded. We've still had good meals there. That said, it's certainly not in the Morton's - Ruth's Chris level.

I haven't tried Shula's at WDW, but the original here in Miami is in the Morton's category. IMHO, Charley's offsite is better than Shula's and much better than any of the Disney outlets...and it's not 25% overpriced.

Anyone expecting remarkable food will be disappointed most places in WDW, I'm afraid. We enjoy nice dinners at WDW, but honestly, there is virtually no "fine dining" onsite any more. A fair food comparison for Disney outlets would be some of the moderately-priced chain restaurants, although Disney prices are somewhat higher.

CA Grill.
Narcoosees.
Haven't eaten at Shula's.
Maybe we will try that in January.
