Anyone have any good places to watch Illuminations? I am especially interested in the area of Canada or UK.

Thanks all...........

I know different people have their various favorite spots, but Illuminations is wonderful from anywhere around the lagoon, as long as you are not right under a tree or something else that blocks your view. We usually just find any open spot a few minutes before the show and watch from there.

By Mexico and Norway there is a little Mexican resteraunt along the Lagoon.

Tables are set up for eating along the lagoon. If you are lucky enough to find an open table, they are one of the best seats in the house in my opinion. People will find a table and sit there for hours so they don't loose their spot. We have seen people having nasty verbal confrontations over an open table.

The resteraunt is called Cantina de San Angel (I'm pretty sure). I've seen people sitting at the tables without ever ording food from this resteraunt. But if you like Mexican food, it is an inexpensive way to eat dinner and then see Illuminations if your willing to wait there a while.

This is our favorite place to watch. But like magicaldisney said you have to get there at least 2 hours before the show to get a table along the water. We grab some margarita's and some Nacho's and hang out. We always have a great time. If our children get antsy we take turns going for walks.

Enjoy!!

We like the bridge between England and France, right by the International Gateway.

Regarding magicaldisney's post, I'm curious why people would want to wait at a table for two hours for a fireworks show that lasts, what, 15 minutes? You can see the show easily from so many places, why choose to spend this time waiting when you could be enjoying all the other attractions? I'm just curious...I've seen people do it but I just don't get it.

Norway is a great location to watch the illuminations. My kids love it there.

I try and choose somewhere different every time. The main criteria for me is what way the wind is blowing - if it's coming towards you, then move round the lake some more, otherwise all you'll see are the clouds of smoke from the fireworks.

Last year during the F&WF we sat at a picnic table by the water in the German Pavillion. We all took turns going and grabbing food and drinks. It was a blast and a perfect view too.
