Apparently I'm missing out on some good eats in Epcot! I know about the restaurants, but I've heard a lot about gelato in Italy, schoolbread in Norway, the bakery in France, the snowcone thing in Japan, etc. What is the best snack-type food to get in Epcot? TIA! :thumbsup2

My very fav is the sno cones in Japan.. Every time I have to have at least one. I also LOVE the bakery in Norway.. Those are my 2 must haves...

Kaki Gori's are my DD's fave....I love the pretzles in Germany (much better than regular WDW pretzles)

Does anyone have a picture of the Kaki Gori? What flavors can you get? I've heard of two types of "sno cones". One is the typical American sno cone that has chunkier ice and crunches when you chew it, ala:

The other is called Hawaiian shaved ice and almost has a creamy texture and is smooth, like this:

Which is Kaki Gori more like?

I love to have a crepe or two in France right after they open the WS. I sit at those little tables and watch people go by. :)

If the line isn't long, I'll stop for a churro in Mexico. :)

I can't eat a whole funnel cake, but if somebody will split it with me, love to have some before Illuminations.

You're making me want to eat junk food now.

Napoleons at the bakery in France every time. My new favorite is the sweet pretzels w/ almonds at the bakery in Norway.

Hmmm im just curious.... why are the sno-cones so great in japan??? I have never had one there before... are they really sweet?? Im not really into the whole crunchy snow cones.... they kinda hurt my teeth - are these softer?

thanks....

YAY leaving for WDW on tuesday

We really enjoyed the strawberry iced tea slushy from the tea hut in China. My husband got a combination of peach iced tea and Schnapps! He really liked his, but I couldn't even bring myself to taste it!

It is more like the softer version. You should try one, they are tasty!

My husband and I frist had one on our Honeymoon in "95".

My DH loves them so much that this is the first thing he "runs" to when we get to Epcot He always eats at least two during our trip. We took my DN last time and this was the one thing she really loved as well during the whole trip. They are very soft, but it's the flavorings that are so different and very good. If you get canteloupe it really taste like canteloupe. Same for the other flavors. They also have just the right amount of sweetness.

The egg rolls in China!!:woohoo:

I will admit that I have never had the shaved ice in Japan, but will make a point of it this time!

The sweet pretzel with almonds at the bakery in Norway is my favorite snack in WDW.

I've got to go with schoolbread at Norway. Just love it!:cool1:

Kaki Gori $2.25

Shaved ice topped with fruit syrups: choice of strawberry, honeydew melon, tangerine, or rainbow (all three flavors)

This is one of the most refreshing things you can get at WDW...however, it is not included as a snack on the DDP -- so break open that piggy bank!

I miss the Beaver Tails from Canada. Oh, were they good.

I have yet to try a crepe in France. I definitely will on this trip.

I really love the pastries in Morrocco. They have a lot of different kinds of baklavah. It's very sweet but also very good.

DH LOVES the funnel cakes - traditionally, though. Just powdered sugar. No strawberries thank you.
