What shoes should I wear at Disneyworld? Last time we went, I had blisters the very first day! Just imagine how painful and annoying it was to walk around the rest of the trip! :( I didn't even get to see Canada and UK at Epcot. lol

I've never found shoes that I love. What I did find was a spray on blister protection at the pharmacy. Frankly it smelled like fingernail polish but I don't care. I put it on the danger areas and had no problems. Not even in the areas affected by my arthritis.

My first choice are teva mush flip flops. I also love classic crocs. I'm going when it's hot though so i'm just bringing the tevas.

My new shoes for comfort are Skechers Go Walks. So very comfortable, just like walking on air.

I trade off between a pair of good but broken in sneakers, and Crocs. I have the Disney Crocs with the Mickey shaped holes in them, for some reason they are more cushy than the standard Crocs. I also have some cute Croc sandals that I wear. My feet are not happy in the same shoe day after day.

Another thing to pay attention to is your socks. After reading all of these people saying certain kinds of socks are better than others, I went out and purchased new ones before a trip. And my feet hated them! I was almost in tears, my feet hurt so badly. I ended up buying some new Disney socks to wear with my sneakers.

I did fine in Adidas flip flops hat had cushioning in them. There was one day when it rained all day and I got two small blisters from that. I then switched to tennis shoes for the next day. I second the Skechers air walk. I bought them for the trip, but forgot them!

Skechers go walks. I wear them daily because I work retail (on my feet and walking/standing all day long) and I wore them at Disney with no problems. You can also throw them in the wash if needed.

I'm a crocs person. I always wear my crocs on vacation, especially when walking around WDW parks. They cover the entire foot while not making the foot feel too confined and are comfy.

Also, I don't think they are that ugly. If you get a bright color like I do, I think they are really cute.

I gave up "fashionable shoes" at WDW parks long ago! I usually wore sandals and discovered they can be dreadfully uncomfortable after awhile. I literally :rotfl2::rotfl::confused3 at people I see at the parks wearing platform sandals. :scared: I mean, really, lol, give those puppies about an hour and I figure those gals end up miserable on a bench!

I always go for my Nike Air sneakers. I like bright colors, so I think they are "cute enough" shoes being bright pink and all. ;) I've never been miserable walking around in those!

I second giving up "fashionable" shoes. We have gone in Sept & Oct, and each time I have brought a comfortable pair of tennis shoes. The first trip I wore my normal socks the first part of the trip. After several days I started developing a couple blisters. I switched to some think moisture wicking socks the next day. While those helped a bit, I opted to wear my thicker moisture wicking socks the next day. When we got back to our room that night, there wasn't a sign of a blister! I had been hesitant wearing the thicker socks in FL in September, but I wore them for the rest of the trip and did not have any blister issues after that. I wore the same socks on the next trip, and did not have any blisters. I will be taking the same kinds of socks on our next trip.

sneakers. I can't make it half a day at home in flip flops....never mind in the punishing conditions of a theme park! I wore my most comfortable sandals to sea world once....I was limping about 3 hours into the day. I always bring two pairs of my most comfortable sneakers and alternate them.

Reef Slap flip flop. AMAZING. I can walk all day for miles and my feet don't hurt. LOVE THEM. :thumbsup2

I just wear my cheapo Payless flip flops and have never had a problem.

I just bought some Skechers go walks. These will be the shoes I will live in at disney. So comfortable, light, weightless and airy. Oh and I am in love with the colour choices, i got coral :)

I never go anywhere without my Olukais! I also take Brookes running shoes incase of heavy rain. My last trip to Disney was 9 days and I wore Olukais from rope drop to between 9pm and midnight each day, no blisters, no pain!

The best shoe to wear is a broken in shoe. Don't buy a brand new pair of shoes and wear them for the first time at WDW because you will get blisters for sure.
