BEST shoes for WDW?

I love my new balance tennis sneakers and my adidas tennis sneakers whenever I am walking a lot. They're just so comfortable and light!

The bad news: New Balances now go for 100 dollars.

I think any of your comfortable shoes will do. I bring a few pairs so that I can rotate them (and some get wet and stay damp for awhile). We usually take a mid-day break from the parks and I usually freshen up and switch shoes then. (Did I mention I over pack? It is worth it...poor bell services...)
Have a great time!

I love my CROCS  Yes, they are ugly and stand out (I have bright red ones, black ones and white ones), but when comfort is an issue, I don't care what they look like. I am so used to wearing them and people are so used to seeing me in them. I had some heel pain issues a year back or so. My Brooks Beast shoes were okay, but not without pain. I went to the doctor and they could not find anything wrong (except I needed to drop a few pounds ;) I got some Mephisto sandals (also very comfortable but a bit pricey) and had no more heel pain. I heard about the CROCS and bought some of those and they are even more comfortable than my Mephistos (cheaper too!) I had my Mephistos on the other day and a friend asked what was wrong and where were my CROCS.

As long as they are UGLY shoes, I might as well wear loud colors, so my next color purchase will be either the hot pink or the bright yellow or bright purple. When I am on my feet all day, comfort over fashion!!!

For sneakers I personally love Saucony or Asics (that spelling doesn't look right). I agree that there is no one shoe perfect for everyone. We decided on Keens for our trip and I swear, they were so awesome. We didn't see many other Keen wearers, but saw loads of Crocs. We were going to get some as well but had a hard time in mid September finding the right sizes in the right colors. Another sneaker type shoe I love for comfort is Rockport.

ITA going to a store for runners is an excellent idea. If you can't find that kind of store in your area go spend an afternoon in a Sports Authority etc.

But I will always swear by Keens and Body Glide! Me, my DH and my DD(3) all wore Keens all week long. DD even wore hers with her Cinderella dress, lol.

::MickeyMo There was a Crocs thread way back when in April. I thought they were going to be a really big deal, but when I got down there, I only saw a couple people wearing them. At least I can find shoes that I like and are comfy. Luckily, I can fit into Kid's Foot Locker, so New Balances for me only cost about $50. :goodvibes The joy's of having small feet. LoL. ::MinnieMo

I bought a pair of New Balance shoes for our trip last year, and they're the most comfy shoes ever, and very lightweight. Don't know if you have Sports Authority stores where you live, but they always have great deals. I got mine on sale for $39.99!

I always were New Balance - a new pair the day I leave. Never have a problem with them - I wear them all the time.

Looking to buy new sneaks...need to buy now to break in before trip...any suggestions on THE best for comfort?

New Balance? Nike? Kangaroos? Adidas? Asics?

I have a pair of RYKAs...they are made especially for women....I absolutely love them. My DH has some New Balance that he wore and he didn't complain...much!

I have two pairs of Crocs that I love as a casual weekend shoe, but I hate wearing any time I'm going to be doing a lot of walking. I did it twice, but no more. There's just not enough stability for my over pronated feet.

For WDW, I only ever wear New Balance running shoes and Teva Pretty Ruggeds. I've tried Nike and Reebok in the past, but New Balance makes the only tennis shoes I've worn without my feet feeling tired, hot, and occasionally numb.

We usually go in Dec, and I swear by New Balance, but Nike Airwalks are also great, as I found out by chance.

We drive to WDW from NC, and I hate to wear sneakers on the long drive. Last trip, I left my NB's on the dresser, 'cause I was wearing flip flops or something dumb like that. Didn't realize it 'til we got to Orlando. Oh oh!! We stopped at the Nike outlet there, and I got a pair of Nike Airwalks. I have a wide foot and Nikes are usually too narrow. The outlet didn't have any wides in my size, but I tried these on anyway, and for whatever reason, they were much wider than others I've tried. Very comfy, even without being broken in properly.

As long as you get a decent pair of walking/cross training shoes and some good socks (I highly recommend Thorlo), you should be in good shape.
