Which do you think is the best section of POP to stay in?

I'd really appreciate a vote and I'd really appreciate a comment about why you think so ! :thumbsup2

I voted for the 70's
#1 because i grew up in that era!
#2 because it is not a million miles from the main building
#3 some of it is not preferred(the part they usually put me in) and it isnt a million dollars!:rotfl2:

Personally, from a logistics standpoint, when I have a rental car, I like to try for building 2 of the 50's. Ground floor.

That's my personal fav. :)

I liked the 50s as well!

The pool was nice and calm, hardly anyone in it (this was the middle of July mind you). It's pretty close to the parking lot, but I guess it doesn't matter if you are on the 4th floor!

The only thing that sucks, is that it's quite far away from the lobby and busses, maybe but 3-5 minute walking distance.

I LOVE the 80's section poolside. We have stayed there three times and loved it every time! We stayed once in the 50's section, but it seemed a little too far from everything for us (main bldg, parking lot, etc.)

I liked the 60's....we were facing the lake, ground floor, right around the corner from the PlayDoh icon. Short walk to lovely pool area...Everything POP...etc...this area is note considered preferred either. The pool area here is great, with a great kiddie pool as well. They did a great job with landscaping here, very much a resort feel in this area, IMO:)

We stayed in the 1970's our first time and it was a good location. It was quiet and close to everything. On our next trip we're going to request the 1950's for something different and when we walked around it didn't seem far either. In fact walking from anywhere even the 90's didn't seem too far. The 70's is good, but that is the only one we've stayed at.

We are staying there for the first time this September, in a preferred, and we are hopeful it is nice! :goodvibes The pictures of it are adorable!

well when I was little Lady and Tramp was my favorite Disney movie.

so staying in Tramp is WONDERFUL!!!!

like building 3 - lake side.

I would have to say the 50's section with the view of the parking lot. I know that doesn't sound very nice but if you can get on one of the upper level floors, you can watch Illuminations from the breezeway. Very cool!

Loved my lake view room in the 70's first trip. View was very nice and it was close to the main building with food and buses. This end of the lake is prettier and I loved looking at the bridge. Photos of view below, looking left and right from room ~ to the right that 80 on the building is food court.

BUT my favorite now is 50's lake view and that is where we stayed last two trips and requested for next. My DS is disabled and enjoyed the bowling pin pool best, and that is 50's, we are a short walk to the main area or our car and we have a lake view. While we could see the laundry staging area during the day (white parking area) and of course the empty buildings, it was worth it because at night we could watch EPCOT and Magic Kingdom fireworks from our room. (You can see EPCOT "ball" in middle photo, and we could see TOT - barely in first photo) We even just pulled up chairs one night to the window. We also watched the fireworks at MGM for a private party. Views below ~

Hi
I voted for the 70's. I've stayed in the 50's and it was nice, but I had my DGD (4) with me this August and she loved the Goofy water jets by the 70's. We were in building 10 which is close to the front for the busses and not far from the food court.

50's!!!! it's so awesome and you can see Illumanitions from there! I love the pool it's very big and the lake is quite nice!

We've only stayed in the 50's and had a really good time. We were in the 3rd floor corner behind the Lady Statue. This was just down the side from the main building. I didn't think it was far to walk at all.

We loved the 60's :thumbsup2 . You're right next to the main flower pool and the kiddie pool. It was a great location if you don't have a car.

We loved the 80's section when we were there in August:thumbsup2 It was close enough to the main pool and building without feeling like you were hiking 10 miles, but far enough away so that it wasn't noisy:thumbsup2

Wow! How good of a view is it?

Watching Illuminations was great, considering most of the show is low to the ground. I took a few photos from our room (below). I didn't take any when we watched Wishes from the room. It was pretty good and we could hear the booming even that far away. Oh, I am using the zoom on my camera.
