Please assist me on this. My husband & I will be having the inlaws come with us on this trip. They offered to let us go out to dinner - get this watch out - ALONE ie without the kids. (we went on our first ever disney trip last year with kids - then 5 & 2). This year we are so excited that we actually will be able to do an adult night out. (I could never bring myself to trust the in room babysitting options...ive heard the arguements..but dont care..I still can't bring myself to leave my kids in a vacation destination with strangers...I just can't).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us some advice around the MOST romantic dinner in WDW - as my hubby & I are in dire need of some alone time, and I want it to be PERFECT. What about Victoria & Alberts? California Grill? Le Cellier....Think ROMANCE. What would you do?

V&A's is very quiet and formal, not to mention a very long dining experience. The food is so interesting that it distracts from the "romance".

If I wanted a nice romatic meal I would go to Le Cellier or Bistro De Paris. Le Cellier is very warm and cozy. It also has enough ambient noise that I don't feel like anyone can easily overhear our conversations.

I haven't been to Bistro de Pari in awhile but it is quite elegant with above par food.

I would say one of two things:

1. CA Grill - my husband and I go there every time we are at WDW and it is the best. Make sure you book it at least an hour before the MK fireworks. They shut off the lights and play the music while you watch it. It's great!

2. Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian - it also shows the fireworks and plays the music. My husband and I think this is one of those "best kept secrets" restaurants because very few people know about it.

Everything's great at both. For a more secluded place, go to Narcoossee's, but if I had to choose, I'd say CA Grill.

Thanks for the feedback so far! Yes victoria & alberts looks really interesting - but wonder if we have the patience! haha. I thought California Grill - but I have heard mixed reviews. I do like the idea of being able to see the fireworks...as we didnt see any on our last trip...Im one of those moms that wanted my kids to stay on schedule on vacation. Shocking I know.

What about BlueZoo? Anyone been - first hand reviews?

silly question - are there any restaurantes that DONT allow kids...sounds harsh but - was hoping for some adult time......

Lets keep this going!

- I'd like to hear MORE opinions on MOST ROMANTIC RESTAURANT..
Think low lighting...low noise...excellent menu - preferably with oysters.
..wink wink...haha.

Wherever you choose, try to get as late a seating as your appetites will allow. This can help you avoid family time at the restaurants. You won't avoid it completely but it can help.

V&A is a truly special meal, but maybe not as romantic due to the formality. However, you are least likely to run into children there if that's your priority.

If it were me, I would look into a late seating at Artist Point. Or how about a late seating at Yachtsman Steak House and then a stroll around the Boardwalk? Or bluezoo and the same?

Even V&A, the least child friendly restaurant does not prohibit children. They just charge a $100 fee to discourage them. I too think it is a little to formal to be romantic.

I think the late dining is an excellent idea.

V&A's is not too formal to be romantic....on the contrary. It is not intimidating, it is beautiful food, in a beautiful setting, and it is very romantic.

We love this restaurant. There is something special about getting dressed up in something pretty, and sitting down for a memorable meal while listening to a harpist play soft music The tables are set far apart, and the room has a golden candle lit glow. Jackets are required for men, but not ties. I have never seen a child there...I'm not saying there have not been but it is rare to see them. There are seatings for V&A's, and early and a late. They will call and verify your reservation when you arrive you will be deated and the menu will have your name on it. When you leave you will get a long stemmed red rose and a chocolate card. It is lovely, not too formal and very romantic. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can hold hands and gaze into each others eyes and share a most memorable meal then this place is for you.

I would not consider Le Cellier a romantic restaurant at all. However if the price of V&A's gives you sticker shock, then I would recommend Citrico's. There are some children there, but the staff is very nice about seperating the dining room and keeping the couples looking for quiet time away from the families. Another option is Cali Grill, it can be noisy espically if you go for fireworks, but way before and after the FW it goes back to normal. We espically love all three restaurants and find the food, service and venu are all great places for couples. If you do go to V&A's or Citrico's I would recommend going to Mizners for a night cap and listening to the band in the GF lobby.

My DH and I do not have kids, we avoid all the family restaurants for dinner, we have romantic dinners all the time

My wifr and I will be at WLV for our 30th aniversary in Oct. and we have picked Artist Pointe for our celebration meal, it's a very nice cozy restaurant

Are you only going out for dinner? Or, are you trying to pair dinner with an activity?

Probably, I'd select Le Cellier or something along the WS in Epcot, so I could enjoy the WS at a slower pace w/o kids. Or the Flying Fish cafe on the Boardwalk, and then be able to stroll around after dinner

If it's only for dinner, Artist Point is really nice. very quiet, especially at a late seating, great wine selection, wonderful service and top notch food. The theming is very cosy and romantic.

I would add a vote for Bistro de Paris. It's very quite with low lighting(ask for a window seat)and even though kids are allowed i only saw a few and it would be cheaper and quicker than my first vote for V&A.

Relaxed dinner - then possibly see evening fireworks show...ie illluminations in Epcot or Wishes at MK....or Electric water Pagent - hee hee. We havent even been able to keep the kids (5 & 2) up to see these...they are so wiped out they always are conking out by the time these shows are starting...so we missed all 'evening' displays / shows .. on our last trip.

Thanks for the recommendations - wow Artist Point sounds yummy!!

 ...BUT i wonder if its too bright, and noisy? My oh my Im going to have a hard time making a decision. Im thinking low lighting...low 'bustle' factor...

We would Also Take V & A's

We have done both Dining room & Chefs table..
either is Awesome..

Second choice would be Narcoossee's

I suggest Blue Zoo. I didn't find Le Cellier to be very romantic, the tables were all very close together and I didn't have any sense of privacy. At Blue Zoo not only was the food just wonderful, it was a beautiful environment and is laid out in such a way it doesn't feel too crowded. I had a wonderful time at Blue Zoo and will go back each time I go to Disneyworld for our romantic dinner.

My wife and I have visited Cali Grill every time that we have been to Disney for the last three years. Sometimes twice per visit. The best time for a romantic dinner at Cali Grill is later at night and near the windows looking over the park. The Castle is washed with multiple changing colors and then the fireworks are great out on the rooftop walkway.

The meals are always awesome and the menu is always changing. If you like Sushi, this is one of the best places to have it. Yoshi their Sushi Chef is award winning. If you get the oppertunity to eat their twice, request a seat at the sushi chef's table (if you like sushi of course). You can watch them work and they are very cool and talk with you about their cooking experience.

The other places that we always visit are: Citricos (everything), Jiko (Try the Taste of Africa), The Yachtsman Steakhouse, Artist Point, and Narcoossee.

I like Artist Point, DH and I did that for our trip alone. Chose a late ADR and it was very romantic. Another one we tried that trip was Wolfgang Puck's upstairs dinning room. When I made the ADR's they asked if it was for anything special. I told them that it was our anniversary that night. Even though we were on the dinning plan, for dessert they brought us out a huge plate of desserts. Two of every chocolate ones and they wrote Happy Annivesary on the plate in chocolate. And they then let us order a regular dessert to go for the dinning plan. Very quite, great food and service. Those are my two favorite meals that we had on our trip. Good luck on your decision!!!

I would agree with CA Grill. Although we like Le Cellier, I didn't really think it was romantic. The atmosphere at JIKO was nice, but our food was just good not great.

I agree that there is definitely romance at V&A. My husband and I go there every year for our anniversary. Just went this past Sunday night and as always, it was incredible. You won't get bored at all. Two and a half to three hours seems like a long time but it goes so fast when you're there. And also the harp, you can request a special song if you like. My husband always requests something from Phantom of the Opera for us. I love it there.

Also, we went to Le Cellier on Friday night and it was crowded, loud, and the table they sat us at, we were practically sitting in the next table's lap. It didn't help that we were right by the fireplace which is right at the kitchen, waiters and waitresses almost running our waitress down every time they came out of the kitchen. Good food, fun place, not romantic to me.

Hope you have a fun time.
