Best Rom Location at CR

I'm new to these boards but have found all of the information so helpful.

We are going in July and staying at the CR since my husband is attending a conference at the Hotel. I'm not sure we will have a choice but what part of the CR would you recommend we request? My daughter is 12 and my son is 11 if that plays into your recommendation.

Again, thanks already to everyone for all of the info. I'm sure between now and July I will have tons more questions.

Really depends on what category you have reserved. I prefer the tower to the wings & magic kingdom view to the bay lake view but if your in the wings the north wing is being taken by sog people now and the south wing is very conviently located to the pools & beach. I prefer the waterview and get a good view of lake and or channel here, but there is also the dreaded parking lot view but these all depend on what you are paying for. If given the choice I prefer the 1st floor rooms in the garden rooms cause you get a patio. the 2nd and 3 rd floor rooms the doors open slightly and there is no balcony. All tower rooms get a balcony.
