Best Restaurants in or out of the park

Add me on the Cannot Be Trusted list as #2 then!:rotfl2: I am also in California (right in the heart of L.A. and about 10 minutes from the famous In and Out in West Hollywood), and I also do not think they are that great. 'Overrated' is a good word for them. I have had better burgers! I never understood all the fuss about them. They are okay but not worth all the hype, in my opinion!!

If you think that In and Out is okay but not worth the hype, then you are merely wrong. Very, very wrong. But if you think that their burgers are "yucky" then you are my enemy. :p

Do NOT go to Rainforest Cafe!!!

Their food is disgusting!!!

ESPN zone is awesome though...especially if there is a great game on! ;)

Tortilla Jo's Express window is the only other place I'll visit in DTD.
Hmm...I've heard quite contrasting opinions about Rainforest Cafe...

Cheese fries. YUM, we haven't done ESPN Zone yet, we probably should. I do think it would be a lot of fun! I do disagree about the food at the BB tho, I think the food there is absolutely GREAT!! I really enjoy eating there, the food, the ambiance, the whole being outside in bayou at night when you're really inside a building in CA in the middle of the afternoon. :)

While I HAVE had good meals at the Blue Bayou, it hasn't been consistent, that's all. I love eating there, even still. I wouldn't try to talk anyone out of eating there, by any means.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Okay! I'll go along with that! At least if I end up in the enemy camp, I will be in good company because I will have Kerri (Pixiewings71) with me on that side! She and I are on opposite sides of the Goofy's Kitchen camp, but we share plenty of common ground and opinions on other DLR restaurants so we still like each other and are not mortal enemies!!:rotfl2: We can join together in our lack of appreciation for In and Out!!

I think Rainforest Cafe has a wide variety of interesting choices on their menu, so it seems like there is something for everyone to choose from. I don't see how ALL of their food could be considered bad to those who think it is bad. They have so much stuff on the menu, and the portions are usually quite big. Something has to be good on there! Maybe some of the RFC locations are better than others? I am not sure. Aside from the great atmosphere at RFC, I have not had a bad experience with the food so far. The chicken fried chicken has served me well so I have stuck with it. Now maybe if I tried something else I wouldn't like it, but my 3 friends who are usually with me when we eat there ordered 3 separate dishes and they all liked their stuff too. The only problem was that the portions were so generous, a couple of my friends couldn't finish them. But as long as the chicken works for me, I will stick with it.

I would say, though, that a good time to eat at RFC when there are not so many people is in the morning, for breakfast. A lot of folks don't know you can eat there for breakfast, but that is a great time to get the exact table you want (we wanted one right next to one of the aquariums) and get served immediately, and really look around and soak up the ambience. However, I liked the food better for lunch and/or dinner. There were more choices and better portions for those meals than for the breakfast, and just better quality overall.

Unfortunately, I've been forced to eat here about 6 times....The first time at RFC I wanted to love it! Didn't like what I ordered so I begged my husband for just one more try...the second time I ordered something completely different and it was not up to par.

The other times I had to eat here was when family came to visit us in LB, and wanted to eat at RFC...everytime I've never been satisfied...

Their drinkies, however, may make the food at least swallable (?)

Their atmosphere on the other hand, is unbelievably thought out! Definitely give it a try if you have kiddies. They'll love it the animals, the "storm" that comes on every 30-40 minutes, and the fish tank. I love the idea, I just wished they would execute their dishes better.

DBF and I have PS at BB tonight at 7:50p.m! :cool1: It's our first time dining there and we are super excited. :hyper: :cool1:

Where is Mimi's?

On Harbor, just exit DL and head to the left, cross Harbor and head to the left, Mimi's is before the next crosswalk. You will pass Millie's before you get to Mimi's, they are different restaurants but they are both good. Mimi's is better. :)

In & Out Burgers are Ok, definitely NOT worth the hype but they are edible. I do eat there on occasion but I just don't "get it" I guess.

Gosh I'm sorry, I've eaten at that particular RFC about 12-15 times and I've always enjoyed my food. And yes, the drinkies are super good too but I love the food there. DBF and I always share the cheese dip appey and then Maya's Combo. He eats the coconut shrimp and I eat the chicken, we split the ribs. It's always good! And yes, the kiddos love it! :)
