Nobu. Hands down the best meal I ever have in my life. And the hardest time to get through to the ressie phone line.

I took my kids to the Olive Garden yesterday. It was the best restaurant meal we've had in a long, long time. I had to drive almost an hour to get there, but it was worth it.

In my immediate area, I can't think of one that stands out. We've mostly got fast food chains.

I am completely hooked on Benihana's. They have a $7.95 lunch special that is just so yummy - and their shrimp sauce is incredible (goes great on rice!)

I also love Macaroni Grille, Khan's Mongolian Grill and TGIFridays (try the honey mustard on the fries, a tip that I got from a Friday's waiter a long time ago).

As for local, there's a Jewish deli not too far away called Crossroads Deli that has great food.

I think the best chain around here is Damon's, but for a nice (and GREAT) meal, we go to Goodfella's. There are only 10 tables in the restaurant, but they do everything to order and everything, including their wine list, is top shelf.

This is a really hard thing to select in our area. There are SO many really good restaurants, mostly serving Italian food that it's hard to choose one over the others.
