Best restaurant in a resort?

I'm planning our December 2014 trip and for our AK day we're going to eat dinner at a different resort to try something new, as we've only ever eaten in the parks before. What are your favorites? We'll be on the dining plan so only restaurants worth 1 credit. We're a family of three - two parents and a 15 year old girl who doesn't mind trying new things but doesn't like vegetables other than carrots, green beans, corn, and peas. She also is too nervous to wait in line and meet characters, so a character meal would be great for her. We're open to nearly any suggestions!

For very good food close by AK park, I would suggest Boma in AK Lodge. The buffet dinner has some different items, tons of choices, and that resort is a great one to explore. After you eat, go back into the hotel and make your way out to the savannahs to check out the animals. I hear they have night vision goggles if it's dark, too!

For characters, I'd go with either 1900 Park Fare in Grand Floridian (Cinderella, Charming, and the stepsisters) or Chef Mickey's in the Comtemporary. Those are further distance, but if you are going right from AK, you can get the bus right to either resort from the park.
