Best Resort Spa for a Mani/Pedi?

Hello! I want to surprise my mom with a mani/pedi on our first or second day at WDW.

The last time I visit the World in 2010, I had one at the Yacht/Beach club's spa. While the service was great, the setting was shockingly outdated and not very spa-like. I'd like to bring my mom to a spa with a little nicer decor and setting.

Any advice?

My mom and I had a mani/pedi at the Grand Floridan Spa. I think it is still closed while they are working on the new building for DVC. However, we got massages at Mandara which is located at the Swan and Dolphin. I thought the decor was amazing and very relaxing. If you're looking for the decor, Mandara would win hands down.

With the GF spa closed, your options are the SSR spa or the Mandara at Dolphin. I have enjoyed SSR more than Mandara but with management changing there I'd probably choose the Mandara.

I didn't know that was occurring. We were thinking of going to SRR for our December trip since we haven't been to that one yet. Do you know who's going to be taking over?

Thanks! I did a bit more digging on-line and read really good reviews on the spa at the Ritz Carlton. Since we have a car, I think we might head there.

I'm so excited! This trip is to celebrate her retirement and this is one surprise I know she won't see coming!!!

The GF spa will officially reopen on December 5th. They will start booking reservations a few weeks before that. It's supposed to be beautiful. I was recently hired to be a massage therapist there.
