Best resort/rooms for a romantic getaway stay

The best romantic getaway rooms at WDW are the cottages listed as “Outer Bldg - Garden Room - Club Level Access” at the Boardwalk page of Disney’s website. $896 value dates to $1445 on Dec 25th.

Walking around the Boardwalk and Epcot Resort Area gives you access to the best restaurants and bars for couples without kids, plus a romantic walk to Epcot.

Huge bonus: you get a second half bathroom in the room, too.

(While it’s definitely a romantic atmosphere, the Polynesian can be a Minnie Van excursion to Trader Sams, the Luau, and a walk along the water by tiki torch light... then return back to the Boardwalk to sleep.)

POFQ is the most romantic moderate. Boat ride to Disney Springs and horse drawn carriage rides.

Grand Floridian or Old Key West - GF so elegant and OKW is just so relaxing with beautiful grounds and a great screen porch

I have to agree with previous posters that POFQ would be the most romantic moderate resort. DH and I stayed there with our kids in 2017, and we really liked the resort. It definitely wasn't a "romantic" trip for us with two teenaged boys, but I could definitely see the possibilities for a romantic stay there sans kids. The resort at night is special and the boat ride to DS is really nice. We also liked that we could quickly walk to POR for other food and pool options.

My vote for a deluxe would definitely be GF. My hubby and I did a long weekend there without the kids in 2016, and it was FANTASTIC! We had a king outer building room in Big Pine Key, and it was beautiful! We loved the smell of the lobby, lounging by the pool, and our favorite meal during our weekend was at Citricos at the GF. We loved hopping on the monorail to get to either CR or the Poly, and we loved the quick access to MK and Epcot.

Wherever you decide to stay, have a magical time!
