We are in our 60's DH & DW
We would like a room for $250/night or less

We eat breakfast in our room and go to the parks during the day
Lunch or Brunch and most times dinner in WDW (Parks or resorts)

Our time frame late Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 - once we have our COVID vaccines in our bodies.

We will consider off-site, if a good deal only
We will not have a car.

Where should we stay - all suggestions are welcome.

We have not been to WDW in 10 years

You can often get great deals at Swan or Dolphin. I see you’ve stayed at the Dolphin before, so it might be worth trying the Swan. Smaller hotel, a nice vibe. Beautiful, deluxe hotels that are on-site. Great restaurants and walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can’t go wrong!

For Fall 2021 I would stick with on site to utilize Magic Express since you will have no car. We love moderates especially Port Orleans (if open by then) because of the boat to Disney Springs (if running by then). But for under 250 per night- it may be worth looking into renting DVC reservations or points to have access to the studio kitchenette to make room breakfasts nice and easy. Since you have not been for so long- do some Disboard and Youtube research on rooms and DVC rentals. Planning is all part of the fun anyway.

I'd agree with Swan/Dolphin if you can get a deal. Right now, I was looking for Sept 2021 and rates start at 232.00 per night plus tax and resort fee. ( resort fee is an additional 35.00 per night ). The over 62 rates start at 206.00 plus the 35.00. The bonus to staying that you are in the heart of Disney property, you still have some Disney perks even though it's not a Disney property ( owned by Marriott now ), and you can walk or boat to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Oh, and they do have some of the best beds on property.

Lots of dining options in the area with the Swan/Dolphin, Yacht and Beach Club and Boardwalk right there.

yes we are over 62 - at least by 2022 :)
We are also Marriott members
We stayed at the Swan Thanksgiving week and we really loved the hotel. So much so, we are staying there in April and October Of this year. We used Florida Tours for airport pickup. We were picked up right outside of baggage claim and dropped off at our airlines for departure. No lugging luggage through the airport levels to get to magic express.

Pop Century is another great option. In 2021 will include Magical Express.

Skyliner access. Great bus system. My parents (in their 70's) have stayed at Pop numerous times and it meets all their needs.

We too are 60 somethings. We love our yearly travels to WDW. Other than CR and GF we have stayed at Pop Century. We stayed in the 60s building with a pool view. We loved the room. There was a very comfortable queen bed and a fold down Murphy bed. We did not use the fold down as a bed but loved the use of the table for our breakfast and some leftovers. Yes, this is not CR or GF but the room was pristine and clean and what we needed for the trip. We enjoyed the walks around Hourglass Lake each morning and used the laundry facilities which were very nice mid-way thouugh our vacation. We bought breakfast foods, snacks, and bottled water onsite. We eat out one meal a day when at WDW. We found the "store" at Art of Animation to have a bit better selection for food items. AoA is a short walk across the lake via the bridge, of course. When we stayed the gondolas were not yet open but this is another great perk of Pop. You can easily stay at Pop for $250.00 or less a night and that includes tax. In fact, we had the bounce back rate and paid about $135.00 per night includuing tax. We did four tours and a spa day. We spent our $$$ a differnt way on this trip and it was wonderful. We too are traveling next fall. We love the California Grill Sunday brunch and hope it has returned by then. We have two trips planned between now and the end of December (one is a reschedule). We are so glad the Magic Express will still be running by then. We have so loved the drop off of our luggage at the airport and finding it magically in our rooms. I am sure ME was going to be phased out and Covid exacerbated the process. Sad.

We are 56 and 59 and we love CSR. It's so relaxing and it's a great "adult" resort.

Another vote for Coronado Springs. My wife and I have stayed here several times both with the kids and without. Great resort and pools. Looking forward to staying in the Grand Destino Tower in the future. Cheers!!!!!!!
