looking for a new purse for the parks. I like cross body and we will have small back pack. What's popular now?

I use my small Vera Bradley backpack all the time and love it. Just big enough, but not too big

It was so liberating to go through the "no bags" for the past week!

Magic Band on right wrist, watch on left wrist
Smart phone in right pocket, always the same pocket so I could always check it was there.
Left pocket was flavor packet for water, a granola bar for mid-morning.
Sunglasses on a string around my neck.

That's it!

Ohh I wish but I still have small kids, and a husband lol. Plus I guess I am guilty of bringing too much crap

I use a Vera Bradley hipster bag - not the mini one - as my day to day purse and also in the parks. (I have several patterns and trade them out every week. :thumbsup2)

It fits my wallet, keys, phone, external charger & cable for the phone, Kindle (in a waterproof sack that I can also stick my phone & charger into during a rain shower or on a wet ride), asthma inhaler, allergy meds, travel size Advil, travel size hand sanitizer, collapsable hairbrush, extra hair ties, Chapstick, and my sunglasses and pin lanyard when I'm not wearing them. Most of this stuff is in my purse day to day anyway.

I also have a bag on my walker that holds a Brita bottle and any weather-related gear I want to carry. (Umbrella, poncho, flip-flops, cooling towel, misting fan, extra sunscreen, etc - depends on the day.) Back before I used the walker, I carried a small backpack in the parks for this stuff.

I am there with you.

I usually bring my Vera Bradley Mickey backpack. It is lightweight and comfortable. I stuff it with sweaters for the kids, snacks, sunglasses, ponchos, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, our Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards, etc.

On one magical MNSSHP night, with only my older DD (7 at the time) in tow, I managed with a simple Magic Band. It felt wonderful. I have not managed to do that since. But one day.

I'm a big fan of Timbuk2 messenger bags for travel. They're secure - with snap or clasp closures, it's much more difficult for a pickpocket to get in than it would be with a regular backpack. They're comfortable - the crossbody strap keeps them in place securely, even when moving quickly, and you can choose to carry them on your front or back side depending on the situation. They look good - particularly their latest models, which ditch the canvas bike messenger aesthetic for something a bit more urbane. And they have waterproof linings - no worries about taking your bag with you on Splash Mountain :D

In our family, both husband and wife use this bag as an all-purpose purse and backpack replacement: http://www.timbuk2.com/sunset-messenger-bag/113-2-1175.html Full disclosure - that bag is a little on the small side, so if you have a lot of stuff to haul around, you may want to look at their other options. But it has been ideal as a purse replacement for us.

I use a Travelon crossbody bag. Secure, hands free and has RFID protection built in.

I like the Disney Dooney crossbody. It fits meds, hair ties, lady things, water bottle, $, id, credit cards, band aids, & phone for me & 2 teens. If they need more or sweatshirt, they have to hold or deal with that, that's just our rule.

I love my Kavu crossbody bags. I have had my simple black one for 4 years now and it has been my go to everyday bag and been on plenty of trips. It can hold a surprising amount of stuff and I love all of the zipper pockets to make sure you don't lose anything on a ride. My only complaint is that they are not the most water proof but I have thrown mine in the washer and dryer and it looks just like the day I got it with the exception of a really small amount of fading. There are also lots of fun pattern and color options and they are very reasonably priced for the quality. The shoulder strap is also a great width to ensure the bag stays in place and I can wear it all day without it bothering me.

it doesn't seem to matter what bag I take--it starts the week looking fine and by the time we're heading to MCO it looks like it's been through a tornado.

last trip I took a lug crossbody (this one: http://www.luglife.ca/products/cable-car-satchel?variant=1156048981). it was on the larger side, but very lightweight material. I liked the flexibility--I could bring essentials only (camera, sunscreen, Advil), or I could load up (a light sweater, sunglasses, Mickey ear storage). (although I did wear the bag out, the company sent me a new one under warranty, so I'll be trying the same bag next month)

i had been a small backpack girl but once i brought my vera bradley hipster to the parks i will never go back!
i loved being able to keep it on for nearly every attraction vs the backpack where i had to take it off and put it back on for every attraction.
it holds plenty without feeling too bulky and the wide, flat and soft strap stayed nicely on the middle of my shoulder and did not migrate to my neck like other cross body straps have.

i use the hipster in every day life but just didn't realize before this last trip how awesome it is for the parks as well!6

i'm going to hawaii this summer and i plan using the hipster for that trip as well.

I also use my Disney Vera Bradley cross body hipster. It is perfect! I can keep everything I need perfectly organized in it. My new one just came in the mail yesterday! I am so excited to bring it in September.. I got the Mickey Meets Birdie bag because I love black and pink together. I love how these have so many pockets and places for things. It is not too small, but just right.

I'm partial to Vera Bradley bags when it comes to traveling. I use one of their larger backpacks primarily, but I've also used a cross body or smaller clutch. They're very durable.

I have the Dooney HM pouchette crossbody bag, which is a nice size for wallet, phone, and individually packaged Wet Ones, without being too stuffed. I also bring an Overland Donner bag that I use instead if it's going to be a rainy day because my nylon poncho fits just right in it along with the other items. So some days I go bagless, some days I take the Dooney and some days I take the Donner - just depends on where I'm going, how many pockets I have on my clothes that day, and what the weather will be doing.

Another vote for travelon.

Stain resistant, you can wipe off most anything. The inside of mine is a bright color so I can see what I'm looking for. For other travel - it has slash proof bottom and straps. Lightweight but seems to have room for everything.

I bought mine at Target.

I can't go totally bagless to WDW. I carry a very flat cross body fabric bag that really feels like I carry nothing. Oddly, it was a tiny bag that came inside an old diaper bag. It has several pockets for lip balm, sunglasses, advil and a small snack or two. It is really like a fanny pack that doesn't look like a fanny pack.
