Best pocket camera for non tech savy parents 150-200$

My mom wants a point and shoot camera with a rechargeable battery in this price range that takes decent all around pics. Any suggestions? It needs to be point and shoot. She is not tech savy. It took months for her to learn how to transfer the pics to her computer when I gave her my old camera several years ago. I use a DSLR so I am clueless on the compact camera market.

I had that camera for a brief while... I didn't like it... the pictures were okay but the push down front was weird... and too much touch screen... for somethings I just want buttons!

I have a Canon PowerShot Elph 300-HS and it's fantastic! It's very compact, easy to use, and takes terrific pictures. There's even one shooting mode that will take a quick stream of pictures and it will pick the best one to save.

I'd say a Cannon Powershot too. They can put it on the auto setting and not worry about much else. You should teach them how to turn the flash on and off, as there are definitely times you want to do that with that camera, but it is a really easy camera.

ITA - you can get some videos - but make sure you get the rechargeable, and not the one with the A series, which uses AA batteries - my experience was the batteries didnt hold the charge as well as the Canon Powershoots rechargeable battery!
