DF (Disney Friend) and I are headed to WDW next February for the Enchanted 10 and Disney Half, and we'll be staying the week after as well. We visit DLR regularly, but we're not as familar with WDW.

We know we need to make dining plans in advance, but it's a bit difficult deciding on restaurants so far out! Added to the difficulties is that I'm mostly vegetarian (no actual meat, but I don't care about what's in the broth, and I treat myself to a piece of bacon from time to time).

Both of us prefer at least one sit-down meal a day: someplace reasonably nice, not too loud, and with good service. Civilized, as we like to say. We're not picky about types of food (except the veg thing), but don't care for buffets or "interactive" dining experiences. I'll happily make a meal of side dishes, and I'm not the type that demands something special be made off-menu.

I've done some research on best restaurants/dishes for vegetarians, but they all list the same few things over and over. Given that we're going to be there for a full week, we need more options!

You definitely need to consider the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort.

If you are willing to dine in a non-Disney restaurant Shulas and Bluezoo at Dolphin are great picks. Both are pricey and Bluezoo is seafood-heavy, but food is excellent at both (and Bluezoo has non seafood also)

Have you looked in to the AKL resorts?
Sanaa at Kidani
Jiko at AKL

On my list!

I looked at bluezoo, but there wasn't a vegetarian entree, and the sides didn't thrill me. Shula's has some potential, though, and I had completely missed it. Thank you!

Sanaa is already on my list! The AKL restaurants in general all have something to offer. I may even convince DF to try the buffet at Tusker House. I've heard it's good.

I would have also included Bomas which is the buffet at AKL but since you said you did't care for buffets I didn't include it. Bomas is my one of my favorite places to dine especially after a race.

go with the resorts not the theme parks restuarants.

Kona Cafe at the Polyn
Waves at the CR
Cape May Cafe at the BC
Boma at the AKL/V

are 4 of my favorites.
