My friend is very keen to have some USA corn on the cob during our visit. Any recommendations on restaurants to visit?

Disney Food Blog had a post in February about roasted corn on the cob at Liberty Square Market in the Magic Kingdom. I have not personally tried it but it is on my list of things to try on our next visit. The post talks about Italian spiced corn but you can get corn with just butter as well. http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2014/02/11/review-italian-spiced-and-more-roasted-corn-at-liberty-square-market/

Awesome thank you, have added this to our list of must do.

I love corn on the cob, but I don't like it roasted. There is a difference in the taste. I can't explain why I don't like it roasted, maybe the sort-of burnt taste to it. In the US, most any good BarBQue place will have regular boiled corn on the cob. If you stay at a resort with a kitchen, it's very simple to fix. It's shucked and boiled in unsalted water until crisp-tender (5-10 min), then removed from the water. Each person usually butters their own with a knife or fork, and salts liberally.

We had nice corn on the cob at Cape May Cafe. It's always a good addition to a clam bake!

It's interesting that you cook your corn so long. I find that makes it much less sweet. When I pick it up at the farmer's market I steam it for less than 5 min. No matter how it's cooked, though, it's one of my favorite things about summer!

Note for those who haven't tried it before:
Corn has a tendency to get stuck in your teeth. Its not a bad idea to have some floss or floss picks with you to use in the restroom after your meal.

What was I thinking? You're right, 20 min is way too long. I changed my post to 'boil 5-10 minutes.' Thanks for the correction. And for mentioning the teeth clean-up after. But it's so worth it! I love the early corn when it first shows up at the market.

We are staying at pop so no way to cook our own.
We do have 2 days on I drive, are there in restaurants along there with good corn on the cob?
