I love corn on the cob, but I don't like it roasted. There is a difference in the taste. I can't explain why I don't like it roasted, maybe the sort-of burnt taste to it. In the US, most any good BarBQue place will have regular boiled corn on the cob. If you stay at a resort with a kitchen, it's very simple to fix. It's shucked and boiled in salted water until crisp-tender (20 min), then removed from the water. Each person usually butters their own with a knife or fork, and salts liberally.
