Best place to watch illuminations from Boardwalk?

We had only one night to watch the fireworks at Epcot, so we were planning to walk over to the WS from Boardwalk villas to watch them.

However, we now have family joining us for dinner that night and they won't be able to get into Epcot. Where is the best place for us to go to watch the fireworks without having to get into the park? They have two kids w/them and we would like for them to see the fireworks. Not to mention, we would like to see them!!

There's a bridge that goes over the waterway the boats use to get from the Boardwalk to Epcot. This is the best place as it's the highest.

Unfortunately, since 2000, the bulk of Illuminations is presented at the water's level, inside Epcot, and so there is only a small part of the show that is visible from the bridge between the BoardWalk and the Beach Club. You will probably have a better chance of seeing some of the show from an Epcot-facing villa in the BWV.

Bicker is right.

You can't see Illuminations from outside the park. You can see a few of the higher fireworks but that isn't Illuminations.

If you are interested in a few fireworks the bridge would work.

Naah. If we can't see much from outside Epcot, I'll just suck it up and we'll see it next time we go.

Sometimes you have to give to get. I give up taking the kids to illuminations this year but get a nice family dinner and some time at the boardwalk w/the family.

We're going again next spring. It's not as if we're deprived!

Last Aug we saw the fireworks a few times at the Boardwalk bridge. Its more than "just a few" - granted its not the show but its still nice to watch. Planning on watching from there again on 8/22 & 8/24
