Going first week of August. Is there a good spot to view both? And, what time should we secure our spots? Also, it does not appear that Celebrate the Magic is available after the end of July? Will something else replace that or will it just be Wishes and the parade?

I like to watch the parade in frontierland (you can easily find a spot 15 minutes before it starts,) and them move to the hub for wishes.

My favorite spot is right by Casey's on the street. We get there about at least an hour before the show starts (whether it be the parade or Wishes first). I'm not sure why CTM is not showing up for some dates in August as it is still listed for my MK dates in the beginning of September (9/6 and 9/9) :confused3

I am sure Robo will be along to show you his incredibly helpful maps. Anywhere in the street around Caseys/Plaza up toward the Frienship statue is great. You don't want to get too close to the castle or you will have a partially obstructed view.
We grab a spot on the curb about 30 min before MSEP, near a crossing sidewalk. Sitting on the curb will prevent anyone from sneaking in front of you for the parade. Then, about 15' before CTM or Wishes, the CMs place masking tape across Main Street to designate areas to preserve for pedestrian traffic. If you toe that line, you will have a gap (the imaginary sidewalk extended into the street) in front of you where no one can stand. That gap is a nice buffer zone between you and anyone else, protecting your view and giving you some open air space.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

We did a FP+ and watched the parade from there. It was well worth it.

I have found watching msep over in fronteirland to be less crowded and more enjoyable. With the new hub wishes and the preceding celebrate the magic we have found going over to one of the new garden/fountain dividers. Especially the ones over near tomorrowland terrace and the plaza restaurant. You can sit on the ledges till the show and then just stand and watch when it comes on plus it tends to not get crowded there for some reason despite a great view.

Oh interesting... I can't picture it but hopefully I'll find this spot! How early do you need to get there? :thanks:

Around 915 or so. You can see msep from the distance and just wait till showtime with some ice cream or popcorn. This way you're sure to get a decent location. Try to do both on different nights because running from fronteirland to the other side of the hub could be a little crazy.

I agree with doing them different nights, especially if you have small children that won't be as patient waiting for all of those events.

We watched MSEP from in front of the Diamond Horseshoe. My mom and my 2 yr old held a spot by the ropes while my dad, my 4 yr old and I ran over and took a ride on Splash Mtn. Timing worked out well!
