Best place to sell Disney pins?

I'm cleaning out all the un-needed/wanted stuff in our house. I'm quickly realizing that I have WAY too many Disney pins. We hardly trade anymore and I have set aside those pins that I really want. The whole collection is a mix of good traders and LE that I just need to get rid of.

Those of you who have sold pins where is the best place to sell them? I would assume that Ebay is the best place for LE but should I list the traders on Craigslist or similar in lots? I've heard more and more nightmare stories about Ebay lately so is there any other place that I should consider listing them on?

Thanks!

P.S. This is in NO way a solicitation to sell them on here so please so messages asking me to do so :)

check eBay for the average selling prices, but don't forget fees :P

Try Disney Pin Forum or Pin Talk. Two active boards of pin trading folks (which I belong to). :-)

I've found ebay to be difficult to sell pins on lately. In the past, I've sold pins there (and now I wish I hadn't, since I've decided to get back into trading), but a few months ago I tried to sell several lots and didn't get anything. I thought I was trying to sell them for a fair price -- approx $1.75 each -- but the guys who are selling the gigantor lots for less than $1 a pin have blown us out of the water. And it's not worth it to me to sell them for that price. Craigslist was worthless -- tried that too.

With the abundance of scrappers on ebay it is hard to sell 'real' pins in lots for 'fair lot value' which for most pins is between 1.75-3.00

which is why I suggest the 2 above mentioned pin sites. I know i look there daily for pins I need :)

You do? What's your user name there? Mine is the same on both sites as here (starry_solo). Maybe we've crossed paths...

I would say DPF rather than PT, only because the traffic on DPF is much more. Plus, there's a person on PT that sells trader lots for $2/pin so sometimes it's hard to compete.

Forgot to say, it's always good to have pictures. You can always link to PinPics for the pictures.

Thanks for all the help. I figured traders would be a challenge. There are a number of really nice/wanted LEs that I have so I will check out those websites listed.

Good luck and if you have any Mulan, Belle, Silver Mist (water faerie from Tinker Bell movies), Little Green Men, or Star Wars, keep me in mind! ;) :cool1:

:happytv::cool1:Ebay is probably worth a try if you have a pin that is harder to find. I have never sold them on EB, but bought a few specific pins for my kids lanyards. You can look up a few pins that you have and see what they sold for recently. You might have better luck setting a definate price and selling the lot on Craigslist.

Thanks for the mention of the 2 boards. My dad has hundreds of Disney pins that he no longer wants and we have also tried ebay with no success. I will try them.

You're welcome. With DPF, you need to be a member for 10 days and post at least 30 messages before you can post in the marketplace (there was, at one point, a lot of spam being posted on the boards). Not sure if the same requirements are in place for PT, but both are good in their own ways.

I'm a member at DPF as well, I've made some good deals there. Good luck, feel free to PM me your user name there, I'll take a look at what you've got. :)
