Hi,
We are taking our first trip to WDW Thanksgiving week and I wanted to know the best place to see the princesses? Are they all walking around the park or would it be better to eat at a place (we are only eating lunch at the parks)that has the princesses. I would like my daughter's pictures made with them...where is the best place to do that?

Thanks!

Back in '05, my DD (then 5) and I had lunch in Norway in Epcot. She had her picture taken with Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Ariel. Each one came to the table for a few minutes, had their picture taken and signed her book, all the while talking with her. She could't eat until all the princess had gone by!
You'll need to make your ADR's ASAP because Thanksgiving is a busy week and many places may be booked already.
Good luck!
PS It's not a meal, but you could always try ToonTown in MK. They have an area where you could meet a few princesses (probably 3); who they are change all the time. There is a chance that the princesses wouldn't be there, but there are 3 seperate areas, and the princesses are usually in one of them. Which princesses are there changes. Just an after thought!

Any of the Princess meals in Norway. We went for breakfast, first seating, and saw Belle, Ariel, Mulan, Aurora and there was one more to come but the 3 year old wanted to leave.....

We visited Toon Town in MK, in the big tent there are pictures with the princesses too.

You can see princesses in the parks. At Toontown, you can wait in line to see characters ... one of the choices is a princess line, though you don't know which princesses until you're in the room. Ariel can be found in her grotto in the MK, also a line there. And I have seen Mulan, Snow White, and Belle in the World Showcase countries over the years. However, that can be kind of hit or miss because of the times schedule and the number of people in line ahead of you (the characters only stay out for a limited amount of time).

The beauty of the princess meals is that you don't wait in line. You just eat at your table until the characters make it to you. And, you've got the chance to see a number of characters at one time. The interaction is generally much better at the restuarants, too. Less chance of pushing or people jumping in front of you I'd consider the Akershus (Norway - World Showcase) meal, Cinderella's Royal Table, or 1900 Park Fare. The first two may already be booked for Thanksgiving week, though it's certainly worth a try if you're willing to eat at an off time, and I don't think 1900 Park Fare does a character lunch. That may have changed, though.

Definitely go to the Princess meal at Norway. We did the breakfast last year and saw Cinderella, Belle, Mulan, Alice, and Jasmine I believe. And yes, there is also the princess line in ToonTown.

Last year, we did dinner at Akershus in Epcot. You get five princesses there. Ours were Ariel (in her blue dress), Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Alice (not really a princess if you ask me).

We then waited in line for more than an hour at Toontown to see Snow White, DD's favorite and Cinderella. I would not recommend that because the line is so long and moves very slowly.

This year, we had breakfast in the castle which is very expensive. We saw Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and the Fairy Godmother. We also waited in line at Ariel's Grotto to see her in her fin (that's the only place you can do that).

If want guaranteed princesses, one of the meals is the way to go. But, we also came upon, just by chance without even trying to several princesses in the parks. We just returned Monday and saw many princesses out and about.

At Epcot (in France) we saw Aurora and Belle (with Beast). In Morocco, we saw Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie. At China we saw Mulan. Last year we saw Snow White in Germany.

At MGM, near the hat, we saw Jasmine and Aladdin, Snow White, Mulan, and the Queen (who my sons were thrilled to see).

The downside to these appearances is that you have to wait in several lines, and they can be quite long, depending on the characters.

here are pics from one of our trips to Epcot - Norway restaurant Askershus with the princesses..

I only uploaded one pic from my 2005 trip..(see Cinderella I couldnt peel my daughters hands off her waist!)..On this trip we saw Cinderella, but we saw Belle, and Sleeping Beauty, and SnowWhite, and all the princessess stopped to talk take pictures and sign her book. I also have this precious picture (ill have to find and upload) of when she saw the princesses for the first time....it was just sooo cute...i Instantly started tearing up just looking at how happy she was.

The last trip 2006 to Askershus we saw Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, and Snow White. Same interaction as above, but this time Snow White kissed both kids on the cheeks with bright red lipstick AND kissed their auto graph books...kids thought that was so kewl (felt bad for snow white - her pucker must have been tired out at the end of the day!!).

AND - you guessed it ...we will be back there over Thanksgiving to see the Princessess once again.
A trip just isn't a trip for us without the princesses!

If you decide to do a Princess meal (the easiest way to see the greatest number in the shortest time) call and try for an ADR ASAP. You may discover that all of the reservations are already booked. The sooner you call the greater the chance you may get something.
