Best Place to Brunch on a Sunday at WDW?

Hi Disfriends!

DH and I are headed to WDW for the Food & Wine Festival and to do the RunDisney 5K/10K with another couple. We are looking for a yummy place to brunch on Sunday, which is the day we all check out. We all have late afternoon flights, so we can take our time in the am/early afternoon. Since it's 4 adults, we aren't looking for a character meal or character interactions. The couple we're with won't have park tickets for this day, so our reservation can't be in the parks. My ADR window opens soon, so I'm looking to make a decision about our last meal/brunch.

In searching through the dining options on the WDW websites, I've picked out the following: Kona Cafe (which I know isn't a true "brunch" situation), Summer House, and Wine Bar George. None of us has been to these three places. Can folks tell me about these three places and which might be the best option? Also, what else am I missing for a great brunch/late morning dining reservation?

I'm open to any and all suggestions outside the parks for a Sunday late morning dining reservation. TIA!

Edit: I forgot to mention that our friends are on the dining plan and would like to use their TS credits for brunch. Thank you!

@skramer100 thank you! I didn't know that Homcomin' did brunch. I'll check their menu now. I love Cali Grill, but right now, all I see is dinner being offered on the WDW website?

We love Sunday brunch at Raglan Road in Disney Springs!
Excellent live music and dancers.

Kona Cafe is a favorite breakfast spot for us. Tonga toast is really different and good especially the strawberry sauce. The Loco Moco, a true Hawaiian dish, not necessarily made like in Hawaii but still is an excellent choice. Lastly, the Big Kahuna has all of the breakfast basics, sometimes this is the special so you might have to ask for it. The lilikoi juice is nothing special and if you're looking to sit, linger and chat the atmosphere and chairs are not that accommodating. HTH

I love brunch and we always make a reservation somewhere. Our choice always depends on who is with us. My husband and I love food and like to try different things. Some family and friends are very picky and like very traditional.

Wine Bar George is one of my favourite places to go. The burrata or shakshuka are my usual picks. My husband usually picks something different every time. Kona Cafe is also usually one of our stops, but the service was very slow when we were down in March and the Tonga toast was not as good as I remembered.

I have not been to Summer House or Art Smith’s. Summer House is on my wish list for our upcoming trip in Oct/November.

Another place we have enjoyed is Tratorria al Forno.

Good luck and have so much fun at the run. We did it with our adult kids a few years ago and had a blast!

I’d do Homecomin’ or Boma at AKL, which comes with the added benefit of lots of animal viewing areas!

Our favorites are Boathouse , seated on the porch, with their phenomenal rolls with the icing drizzle that they only do for brunch or Boma. We were there for 3 weeks in April, and surprising to us , Boathouse beat Homecomin and Wine Bar George for service and experience.

Thank you, everyone! You've given me great choices!!! I think, because our friends are on the dining plan, we'll have to skip most of the Disney Springs places because they don't take the DDP. So, we've narrowed down our choices to: Kona Cafe, Ale & Compass, Grand Floridian Cafe, or Cape May. I'll keep you posted with what we are able to snag when our ADR window opens!

Can't wait to see where you decided to go. Staying at eh Beach Club for the first time. Ale and Compass would be easy for the older ladies in our group.

Unless it's changed, Boathouse does a piano brunch that is fabulous!

Olivia's at Old Key West has a nice brunch!

We always do a brunch at The Grand Floridian Cafe each trip.

I love the Disboard! Thank you so much for all of your ideas and input! We ultimately snagged an ADR at Topolino's for brunch. But, if something falls through, I have lots of ideas for a "plan B" thanks to all of you!
