Best parking strategy

So I will be starting my trip at AK, driving in. I planned to arrive around 10 AM, spend my morning in the park and try and park hop to DHS if possible after 2PM. I will need to check into my hotel at the end of the day, I was thinking if I get into DHS, I would leave when it closes at 8. I will need to get back to my car to drive to Swan and Dolphin to check in. What is the best strategy? Is it best to park at AK, hop to DHS and then get transportation back to AK parking? I'm thinking there has to be a more efficient way to do this. Any ideas?

Drive to HS from AK. Drive to S/D from HS. Why would you leave your vehicle at AK and then have to return via Disney transportation to retrieve it?

I would just drive from AK to S/D and leave the car there, if you could not already check in and then walk/boat to DHS. At the end of the night, just walk/boat back to S/D.

I agree with driving from AK to S/D. If your room isn’t ready, you can check your luggage and head to DHS. If you leave your car at AK, and AK closes before you leave DHS, Disney will no longer be sending buses to AK, and you’ll have to pay for transportation to AK just to get your car.
