Best park for a Saturday and Sunday

We have an 8 day trip (arriving on Friday) at end of June- any recommendation on what park would be recommended for Sat and Sun that would be least crowded? Was thinking AK for the first Sat... We will be at Riviera for our first 4 nights and BCV for the last 4 - also, we got a 6 day hopper ticket and were thinking if Universal for one day- so that could be done on that Sat or Sun too.. not sure how those crowds are. Any thoughts appreciated!

I am not a pro by any means, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

AK would definitely be a park I would hit over the weekend because currently it is the least visited park.
Epcot gets the local crowds on the weekends, I would pick weekday for it.
MK always is busy to me but it is always one I wait for a weekday.
HS is the busiest right now, and with typically hitting park capacity limits I don't know if you would see a huge difference over the weekend?

Universal ... different beast and I don't even want to guess so hopefully someone will help you with that.

For me, if I had to chose 2 WDW parks over the weekend it would be AK and HS (just because it is hitting capacity most days of the week anyway.) Like I said, I could be way off, but that would be my two.

I agree with @fly girl, AK would be my best bet. Epcot if there isn't a festival - although Ratatouille should be open by then (fingers crossed) and that will be a very popular ride. Locals like going on the weekends if there are festivals.

The old (pre pandemic) knowledge was that MK gets crazy on the weekends because that is when most guests arrive at WDW and it's the first park they hit. I still think this applies.

DHS is always busy so I don't think it matters which day you go.

Without EP at Universal I’d go on a weekday and probably not a Monday or Friday

Flower and Garden goes to July 5th, so there will be a festival at Epcot.

Oh wow/ really? That is great news for me! I love flower and garden and in the past it would end before late June when we would visit. Excited to hear this!

Everything I read was to do Hollywood Studios on a Saturday. It is the most crowded day of the week for all parks. They are saying HS park reservations are booked pretty much everyday because of the Star Wars Rise Of Resistance. So it doesn’t matter what day you go. I would do AK on Sunday.
