Any suggestions for booking two connecting clean, quiet Oceanview rooms on the Wonder? Thank you in advanced!
The windows on the upper levels, 5 and above, have a lower set porthole which would make it easier to see out of from a sitting position. Usually it's best to pi cb k a room sandwiched between 2 floors with rooms on them and not common areas above or below.
- Love the Deck 2 larger portholes. Not a fan of the deck 1 "twins".
- Pay attention to activities above your room. Some rooms get quiet after a certain hour. I'm a night owl so I have no troubles going to sleep after midnight when activities are over. http://disneycruiselineblog.com/wp-...L_DeckPlans092713-Reimagined-Magic_Wonder.jpg
- My cabin was closer to the bow.... are the oceanview windows cleaner in the front than in the mid or back from all the splashing water? When looking at a long bus, the windows are generally cleaner in the front.
on deck two the connecting rooms are near the back of the ship (Magic / Wonder). I liked our normal midship non connecting room(s) on deck 2 better than those aft - in the aft we experienced more "vibrations" throughout the cruise than we ever experience midship.
Additionally, on the Magic with it's "new" duck tail - when she is cruising slowly there is way more vibration aft than there was in the past. I noticed this as we were having brunch in Palo on our Southern Caribbean cruise and we were going less than 10knts and the vibration was very noticeable. I assume that it was on all decks aft.
We liked deck 2 on our WBTA last year. There are a few connecting rooms near the front (we liked the forward room 2012 last year) 2018 & 2020, 2518 & 2520, 2030 & 2032, 2530 & 2532, 2038 & 2040, 2538 & 2540.
We are even more forward for our next trip as we wanted to try out one of the extra large porthole rooms.
The portholes (on the Magic & Wonder) on deck 2 are large ones. Toward the front and back of the ship they are a little smaller than the ones in the middle. What do you mean by 'extra large'? Are there different sizes amongst the large portholes? We have 2104 (which, for the OP is midship and connects with 2102) booked for a PC cruise and I'm nervous about making sure we have the 'perfect' room for 2 weeks!
Each morning, there is an appendage that comes by your window... it's a power washer.Thank you for your very valuable input on choosing a room closer to the bow to have a clean window to see through.

We've never had any issues with dirty windows, and we've been in mostly mid ship rooms, from near the front to near the back. From what I've seen, they clean the windows at most port stops. Now on the Hawaii cruise (with lots of sea days) there was one day where our deck 2 window looked like thisEach morning, there is an appendage that comes by your window... it's a power washer.
I never felt my front windows that much dirty, but was wondering if anyone can comment on the rear windows. In rough stormy seas, I assume it would be worse.

I'll have to look for the picture I have. OK, found one. Not great, but the two rows of large porthole windows are decks 2 & 3. On deck 2, counting from the right, the first 7 windows are a little smaller than the next ones. The really large ones on deck 3 are along the Promenade Lounge & passageway alongside Lumiere's (Triton's on the Wonder).

But, now I see that "extra large" is referring to the actual size of the room, not the windows![]()
Rooms 2004 and 2504 have extra room in the stateroom just because of the shape of the ship. Rooms going up to 2012 and 2512 from those rooms have a slightly larger room than the rest in that category.
If you want to save a little "jingle" book rooms 5022,5024 port side or 5522, 5524 starboard side, this is a 10A inside state rooms Cat, they are connecting rooms, and these are your "secret port hole rooms".....hence you are paying the price of an inside room and get ones with port hole windows.
I have found that the 9C staterooms are cheaper than the secret porthole rooms. I have been in the better of the secret porthole rooms and it was obstructed enough that if I could get a 9C for the same price or less then I would go with the 9C.I AGREE! When I saw this thread title I immediately thought of the secret porthole rooms - I stayed in 5022 and it is a great spot - very quiet, so close to the stairs so it is an easy hop to the comfortable deck 4 chairs...you can determine whether the compromised views are too significant for you by visiting this website: http://www.disneycruiser.info/pics.htm
Have a great trip!
