Best Oceanview Rooms on Wonder

I have found that the 9C staterooms are cheaper than the secret porthole rooms. I have been in the better of the secret porthole rooms and it was obstructed enough that if I could get a 9C for the same price or less then I would go with the 9C.

Similar for me, so I definitely recommend to check some of the cat9's before automatically assuming the "best deal" is the secret 10a. I was paranoid about booking on deck 2 because of some of the public areas & was concerned about noise from above on Deck 3 (like the Wavebands nightclub on Wonder), so check deck2 room location carefully. I'll be in my first deck2 cat 9b cabin in November and look forward to it!

I also thought deck 2 would be not a great location, but I found it fine on the Magic. On the bigger ships it might be farther away from things (I've only been on the classic ships). It was a quiet location and I did not find it far from anything I wanted to do or see.

Actually on the Dream class ships, rooms on deck 2 are on the same deck as Enchanted Garden dining room - not far at all. And Royal Court/Palace are directly above that.

On the cruise we are going on, there is a $560 price difference between the category 10a and category 9c. We went with 10a. I wish the price would have been lower for the 9c.

Thank you all for your feedback! So we booked two cat 9b connecting rooms 2594 and 2596. I'm excited and nervous! Excited because I can't believe we're going on another cruise, nervous because I'm planning for the whole family and I don't want to let anyone down.. Does anyone have experience with these two rooms?

@Husurdady - I originally had 5022 and 5024 booked but then saw that cat09 was cheaper than the cat10 so we went the cheaper route.
We are booked in the same rooms on June 15th. When is your cruise date? I'm wondering if you or me will be able to report how the rooms are. I'm excited!

Is that for a secret porthole room?

We were in the best secret porthole room (most forward) on the first Repo cruise. While it was nice, my mom really wanted a verandah so we upgraded (lots of empty staterooms that cruise). There were stairs by the window and the view was not the best. I would take a deck 2 porthole room anytime over a 10A secret porthole room, especially if it's cheaper.

Deck two on the new ships is good too. In the mornings you get up, stumble out of your room (make sure that you have on you PJ's at least) go through the "secret" hallway behind the elevators and you're at Enchanted Garden for breakfast.

We found this to be a great deck to stay on. I prefer the portholes in the classic ships to the new ships on deck two. And yes there are a few more flights of stairs to get up to the pool deck ... but hey you get to eat even more desserts!!

We are booked into these rooms for the Panama Canal cruise so I will report on them when we get home, and it looks like that will be almost exactly a year in advance of your cruise so you'll have lots of time to consider!

I'm saying the 9c was $560 more than the 10a.

Wow, I've found the 9C's cheaper than the 10A secret porthole rooms. Did you compare it to a secret porthole room or just an inside?

Sph room 5024 but all of them are the same price. That was the last one left of the sph rooms. I wish the 9c was closer in price because I would grab it.

A year ago we had these rooms on the Wonder, or the ones right next to them (connecting). The only thing that I noticed was that these rooms are a little noisier than our normal 2572-8 rooms. Not crew or neighbor or above/below noises - just louder "white noise". Yes we noticed it, no it didn't really bother us. I couldn't tell you if it was noisier during docking times or not. I believe that you and everyone in your party will fully enjoy these rooms.

If anyone complains about the size of the rooms, you can tell them that these are the same size as the veranda rooms (on the inside ie the veranda rooms are larger when you include the floor space outside on the deck). The really expensive rooms give you more room.

Have a GREAT Trip

Awesome! Thank you. We would love to read your report when you return. Have a fun and safe trip!

Awesome, thank you so much for your feedback. This really gives me piece of mind with the room selection.
