I need decent looking, longer nails in two weeks. My nails are soft . I don't want acrylic nails but I would like to strengthen my own. They will grow quick if I don't let them break. I have tried Sally Hanson products but I dont' think they work. Someone recommended Nail Tech. Anyone else use this product? Thanks

Dawn,

Have you tried
Maximum Growth-Phase 1 from Sally Hansen.

Package (it comes in a hanging box) must say Phase 1 (Phase 2 doesn't work)

Must apply it once daily though (right over the old stuff), Dries quickly too.

If applied once daily--does a real good job on strengthening, seems to help them grow faster too.

I also like the:

Maximum growth in the orange bottle
Maximum growth in the BLUE bottle

both these require no "drying" time...just paint on, rub in, and you're done.

The Maximum growth Phase 1 works well...however the maximum groth miracle (gold bottle) is very odd. It literally peels right off my nails the next day...but, being patient, I used it for 7 days straight and my nails DID grow.

beyond that...after you get your nails to where you want them - go for manicures more often...will actually keep your nails stronger.

My advice is Tech II. Their polish is expensive ($10/bottle) but well worth it. My nails use to chip and peel and now after using that for a month my nails are beautiful and very strong. You can get it at an Ulta store if you have one.

Dawn ~ Try the Sally Hansen "Natural Nail Growth Something"...it's in a blue bottle and does work. I have awful nails but they are starting to get better by using this stuff. I put it on anytime I think about it. (I usually have it sitting next to me while I am watching TV and then just put it on all the time) It's around 5 or 6 dollars. Hope this helps :)

It's funny someone would ask this question because I have recently been thinking about asking a similar question. My nails have gotten to a nice length, and I would like to put polish on. The problem I run into is that when I keep putting my hands into water, it softens my nails and the polish flakes off at the edges. Polish never lasts for more than 3 days without getting nasty at the edges, and I have to remove it.

I've tried using a base coat, two coats of polish, then a top coat, but that doesn't seem to keep it put.

Any suggestions for stopping my polish from chipping at the edges?

Liz :wave2:

For all your nail problems I say Nail Tech II. They have a bunch of different products from strengthner, quick drying, nail polish extender, etc. I think it is well worth the money.

I never used that product, but I think I'll look for it. My nails never grow and when they grow just a little bit, they break off. I recently bought about a month ago Nutra Nail 5-7 Day Growth. It is a green liquid. So far, my nails have been growing and not breaking. And as for chipping nailpolish, I bought Revlon's Colorstay Always On. It comes with 2 bottles, a color and a top coat. I put it on yesterday and so far so good - no chips. It says it lasts 10 days. I hope it does.
