I'm surprised that there aren't many posts regarding the mini-golf courses at WDW, considering there are free tickets given out with certain reservations.

Anyhoo, I'm wondering - is any course better than the other? I have free tickets and can choose Fantasia Gardens at the WDW Swan or Winter Summerland at Blizzard Beach.

My DH and I are in our late 20s and do not have kids. We are definitely not golfers (I am just awful at it!), but we enjoy mini-golf once in a very blue moon. We just figure, why not take advantage of the free tickets? We're going to use them on departure day.

If anyone mentions Winter Summerland as their favorite, could you also tell us whether you enjoy the Winter or Summer course more?

Thanks! :flower3:

My vote is for Fantasia Gardens. I like the tie in with one of Walt's more experimental features.

And besides...I still get credit for finding one of the first Hidden Mickey's when the course first opened.

We first played a round at Fantasia Gardens almost 20 years ago and now, as a group of adults, it is always our only choice. We love the theming and the course... lots of fun!

I haven't done Fantasia Gardens and have only played the summer side of Winter Summerland, so I'm really not qualified to vote for which one is best. I can tell you that we loved Winter Summerland's theme and had a great time on the course. One downside was that it was pretty crowded. We could walk right on and play the summer course, but would have had to wait 20 minutes for the winter course. We were a party of 3 and there was a party of 4 directly in front of us. We ended up getting pretty backed up. In fact, at one point, the party in front of us was playing a hole and we, as well as two other groups behind us were all waiting for them to finish so we could move on to that hole. It wasn't their fault -they were sticking to the 6 stroke maximum rule, but there was 4 of them, 3 of us, and two parties of 2 behind us. It's only natural that we would get backed up.

A big bonus I have seen to Winter Summerland is the shade. It is very shady, especially when compared to anything I have seen at Fantasia Gardens. Both appear to be a lot of fun theme-wise, though.

I've played them all! I like the idea of the course by the Fantasia one that looks like a real golf course BUT I has the most fun at the winter course - it's really interactive.

I like the winter course at blizzard beach, the greens at the summer course has some divots that were not replaced when we played and the greens at fantasia i thought the grass was a little high and the ball didnt break correctly
