That have something for non-drinkers?

Hey all! I am heading back to the World with my best friend in May 2018 and I am looking for advice. She drinks and I don't (due to medical reasons, not because I am anti booze, though I can have a taste or sample size drink). I want her to be able to experience as much of Disney as we can in our very short trip as this trip is for her College graduation. So I am looking for suggestions of some awesome lounges or bar type places that also have offerings for non-drinkers. Mostly when it comes to the food realm for me. My medical stuff means most of the non-aloholic drinks are still off limits due to the soda or juices used... but I always love to try new foods!

I am looking for in and out of the parks, though in park options are wonderful for a place to relax and sit for a bit without having to head elsewhere. We are also going to Disney Springs and will do a monorail tour on our Hollywood Studios/Magic Kingdom day (since HS doesn't hold a ton of interest to us besides a couple attractions).

Thanks so much!

Lots of fun options. In Epcot, Tutto Gusto (Italy) has many small plates including desserts and the dark, cool atmosphere can be a welcome break. La Cava de tequila (Mexico) has guacamole, queso dip and chips. In Hollywood Studios, the Brown Derby lounge has a good menu with a variety of options including their famous Cobb Salad. In Animal Kingdom, Nomad Lounge is getting rave reviews for atmosphere and menu. At the resorts, Geyser Point on the water at Wilderness Lodge (quick boat from MK) is outstanding- beautiful setting. In Disney Springs there are many options, my favorites would be Boathouse's dockside bar, Paddlefish's rooftop bar, and Homecomin'. Have fun!

Crews Cup at the Yacht Club was good food and a fun atmosphere.

The Hangar Bar at Disney Springs is cool and they have small plates.

You can get a milkshake at Tune in Lounge:

A good question -- Disney has some great bars/lounges, though sadly some don't have much for non-drinkers. Here are some of my favorites that feature interesting food along with booze.

Hollywood Studios

  • Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge - Love sitting outside and people watching. Cobb salad is classic and amazing. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have liked it all.
  • Tune In Lounge - Fun atmosphere. I love their wedge salad, haven't tried much else, but they serve the full 50's PrimeTime menu.
  • The new beer-focused lounge that should be opening soon in the old Streets of America --- it's supposed to have a tapas type menu.
Animal Kingdom
  • Nomad Lounge - Very interesting food offerings. Two thumbs up for the fish tacos.
  • Dawa Bar - Does not serve food, but we often grab food at Harambe market and bring it with us to eat at the bar.
EPCOT
  • Tutto Gusto Wine Bar - Great selection of antipasti.
  • Rose and Crown - Great atmosphere. Food selections OK, but not my favorites

Non-Park
  • Cabana Bar at Swalphin - Amazing cocktails, Sports on TV (NFL Sunday ticket), and an interesting food menu. This is one of my favorite places to hang out at in Disney.
  • Crockett's Tavern @ Fort Wilderness - Small bar, but lots of fun and an interesting snack menu. I loved the nachos.
  • California Grill @ Contemporary - Amazing atmosphere. Great sushi and appetizers. $$$ and might be hard to get into on a busy night.
  • The Wave @ Contemporary - The bacon and eggs appetizer I had here might be the best thing I've eaten at Disney.
  • Trader Sam's @ Polynesian - Tiki bar with interesting food menu. I like the patio where at night there is a ukulele player andM an awesome view of the MK fireworks.
  • Mizner's Lounge @ Grand Floridian. Great bar, food service is done by Citricos kitchen. The arancini were great. Plus the live orchestra plays right outside.

And this doesn't really fit your request unless you consider popcorn food -- but for a bar/party atmosphere nothing beats Jellyrolls.

Trader sams at Poly looks like it is a lot of fun. Planning on visiting during our next trip. They have some nonalcoholic drinks (actually allow kids until 8pm)served in speciality mugs (you can buy or not). I have also heard geyser point at WL is amazing. Views are spectacular. Looks to be covered outdoor bar & grill.

My top three choices for lounge food would be: Trader Sam's (big, delicious apps and the atmosphere is SO fun! Lots of special effects and antics), Nomad (super relaxing, beautifully decorated, delicious food), bluezoo (cool atmosphere, great food)

Trader Sam's is a lot of fun and a really cool experience. They had good apps as well as drinks. They do different things when certain drinks are ordered, and the bartenders do all kinds of crazy and fun antics.

Mizner's lounge is nice as a PP mentioned.
Plus I could spend all day at the Grand :)

I have been known to spend an entire afternoon/evening at Rose & Crown. My favorite cider is on tap and the people watching opportunities abound.

I'm not much of a day drinker so I'm not sure about the parks but here are some of my favorites outside the resorts:

  • Bellevue Room at BWI - smallish - if you sit inside you can hear old time radio shows from the 20's and 30's. They also have a great balcony you can sit and take in the activities going on around the boardwalk.
  • Jellyrolls at BWI - dueling piano bar with lots of good music. Very entertaining evening for both those who drink and those who don't.
  • River Roost at Port Orleans Riverside - live entertainment most nights of the week. Nice place to relax, have a cocktail and some small bites. Get there early on performance nights - it does fill up.
We haven't yet been to the bar on the rooftop at the Coca Cola Store but plan on it for some fun people watching. Traders Sams is another one we want to try at the Poly.

I would add Abracadabar at the Boardwalk and Il Mulino at the Swan. Abracadabar is a little more "entertaining" and Il Mulino is a little more laid back (since it's the front part of the restaurant). Depending on your mood, either one would be a great option!

We really like Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge. A big plus is that I can get the Artist Point Mushroom Bisque there.

I was just going to post about this lounge. We just returned from a weekend at Wilderness Lodge and loved TL. The cocktail menu is great and my Rye Manhattans were expertly mixed. My husband had the bourbon flight and it was very reasonably priced. We wanted a bar snack with our drinks - everything in the Poutine sounded great except for the cheese which I do not eat. They happily made it without the cheese and it was great and huge for only $9!! We were shocked at how low our bill was for Disney (we're from the NY area, so we are somewhat used to higher prices). For 2 Manhattans, a flight of bourbon and a bourbon neat - it was only $61 before our 20% TiW discount.

And Megan our server was fantastic! And the Wilderness Lodge in itself is a great experience.

You can catch a boat (or bus) to WL from the MK during your monorail tour.

Victoria Falls at Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing and worth the atmosphere alone. They have good food offerings also (including Jiko's burger which is one of the best I've ever had).

The lounge at Sanaa is also great to visit, you can order the bread service there also :)

And Geyser Point! Wilderness has it rocking with their lounges! TL was always my "hidden" gem. Especially since I used to walk right by it without knowing it was there. Loved sitting on the couch relaxing and having a drink.
