Best Lighting Lane Strategy for a Large Group in WDW?

Hello!

Today is officially 30 days until I’m “home” in WDW! :cheer2:

I’m going with family and we have a fairly large group (16 people total). Like most large groups, we have a variety of preferences when it comes to rides in Disney. Some of us love thrill rides, some of us only like moderate thrills, some don’t want any thrills etc. We do not have any children with us and we are all ages 21+ so we don’t have to worry about height restrictions, rather just personal preference of thrill.

How would you recommend we go about booking Lightning Lanes? With so many preferences to cater to it feels overwhelming. I’ll edit this post if I think of any other information that might be helpful.

Thanks!!

When traveling with a disparate group, I asked each person to tell me which 3 things were most important to them in each park. Then I booked the three that got the most “votes,” although sometimes I split the group.

With the current LL system, you’ll probably need to book LLs separately for each park each day. When you book, you check off the names in your F&F list first, so you can book some things for part of the group, pay for them, then book other things for other members of the group.

Is there anyone who can help with this? They need their own MDE account with the F&F list including everyone and a source of payment. Then they could be assigned to book designated rides on a specific day for specific people.

Yes, a royal pain!

Do you want to stay together as a group or are you planning to split up into smaller groups? I would put the people who want to do the same rides into groups and book LL's for each of these groups. Then, perhaps get together for lunch or dinner or downtime.

Exactly, @MaddieB223. Sorry I’m so long winded.

We need more data to make an informed set of recommendations. @CarolynFH got you started. If you are not planning to travel the parks as a group of 16 or make your first 3 LLMP attractions for everyone, and then break up into smaller groups teh enjoy the same rides.

The key is how many different reservations, and how many of your party want to help mange LL initial bookings. It is somewhat easy to setup MDE accounts to manage other guests, The Family & Friends feature works great but it does time some time to organize your subgroups. Now is the time to get started discussing with your group.

Thanks! We are planning on traveling to the parks all together as a big group of 16.

Is there a reason you're booking everyone's? If they're all adults, why not let them do their own? If people are going to hang out in groups, they can coordinate amongst themselves
