I have a Nikon D70 and would like to know what is the most suggested lens for captuing memories in the evening and at night. I am not looking for all perfect shots of the firworks but just a good all purpose lens for the eve.

I currently have:
Nikkor 28-100mm 1:3.5-5.6G
Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D
Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6G

Thank you for your thoughts.

As long as you use ISO 800 (1600 is rather dirty on the D70, worse than D50), any of the lenses you mentioned is fine. You want some kind of depth of field anyway so you'll end up using f/5.6 most of the time.

A tripod. WDW is a great place for night photography and a tripod will allow even better opportunities. I carried around an $18 travel tripod that fit perfect in my backpack and is also very light weight. With a tripod it really wont matter which lens so long as your settings are correct.

Just be warned. Other people might thing you work there and will ask you to take their picture.
