Best in and out bathrooms along the marathon course?

Last year, my "bladder challenged" running partner and I stopped in Norway, Main Street USA (just past the Plaza restaurant but before Tomorrowland), and Asia (behind Yak & Yeti). We didn't have to go again at DAK, but I did make a huge mental note that there is a real bathroom in Dinoland just before you exit the park. As we passed, I checked and did not see a single runner go in there, so I think that might be a good choice.

Almost exclusively use the bushes, I am slow and don't have the cushion of time behind me to line up for the port a potties. Not ever my finest moment but hey I need to be ahead of the sweepers.

I also admit when I use the public bathrooms I have been known to use the mens washrooms...never a line up there:headache:

2 years ago Mike said he saw a older lady just step to the side of the road and shift her shorts to the side and go right there:eek: Now I am no where near that brazen.

I can't look at the bathrooms as I go by because then I automatically have to go. I look away as I pass port-o-potties. Silly, I know, but it works for me. I estimate that before I leave for a starting line or a L/R, I have to pee once for every mile I'm about to do. Ahh yes, middle age...:lmao:

I've never done a Disney race but one hint I would make especially for the first time slow people is to consider taking your own toilet paper. I've actually take the travel size kleenex in my fanny pack just in case the restroom is out. In my prior 2 half marathons I've needed to use the restroom one about mile 7-10. So, even if I don't NEED to go, if I find one in that range with no line I take it and try. Good luck and hope the weather is great.

Hey, if Paula can do it....

Not that I am Paula... I can't imagine peeing ON Disney though. Wouldn't they come swarming out of the secret hidey holes to scrub it down as soon as we were done. LOL

I am bladder challenged, and will be 5 mo pregnant to boot. This has been THE most helpful thread (just doing the Princess 1/2) for me. Thanks! LOL I know I will need to go as soon as I hit MK, then I should be ok til the end (I hope!) but if not... slow ones have to do what we have to do, eh?

Just? Really, did you just say Just. I don't think it's just! ;)

Personally, I think TnT is an easier place to go than MK. MAy want ot think about it there. And, tehre is not "just", add on 5 mo pg adn you are one amazing woman!

LOL--- thanks guys. I meant "just" doing the half since this thread was specifically asking about the marathon route. ;)

Trust me--- I am totally thinking that the half is an UBER accomplishment for ANYONE. And if I manage to finish while pregnant, then I will give myself extra dessert that night at Le Cellier. :) :) :)

I tried to use the bathroom in T and T in 2009 - ran in and ran out since it was overflowing. But if that one isn't full its good to use. Otherwise there are a few in MK that will work - like mentioned earlier the one in Frontierland is pretty secluded so it may be easiest. Just depends on the crowd at that moment you got to go.

OK, I'm totally embarrassed to admit this, but where exactly is the restroom at the TTC? The one I always use when I'm going to MK is located all the way by the ferryboat dock. Surely that's not the one you're all talking about, is it?

TTC (or as I accidentally typed TnT :upsidedow) is Ticket adn Trans. That would cover Ferryboat dock, but there's one to the right after you go through the ticket buying area, much closer.

I end up choosing some slightly off the beaten path for the lack there of in lines. The first I go to is the one by Pinnochio. Then when you hit Animal Kingdom I go to the bathroom back behind Yak and Yeti...no marathoner lines here, but you might hit park guests using this one.

My favorite bathrooms are the ones just before you go through the EPCOT pay booths. Just to the right are some nice bushes in front of a clearing - BEST POTTY BREAK EVER! :lmao: I also was a fan of the ones nr Everest in AK - no line, they were warm (this was obviously last year) and gave my eyes a rest from the sun. The ones in MK Tomorrow Land are a fave for the 1/2 and the full (just before the tea cups), and the first bathrooms as you enter HS (if you were coming in as a regular guest nr the lockers) are usually pretty quiet.

I have actually considered going in my pants, but I have never been brave enough to go through with it :scared1: but then again, I have a tiny tiny bladder and I went to the bathroom about 12 times during Goofy last year!

the ones in MK in tomorrowland next to the smoothie place and across from the speedway were open last year and we walked right in and out!

Those are 2 great suggestions that I hit :thumbsup2

I always use the bathroom in Tomorrowland in MK. It is easily accessible, and never crowded. The next best rest stop in the MK would be in Frontierland.
I'd recommend using one of these facilities, since it's a long run to AK with only portapotties along the course.
