Best IHOME/ILIVE for Ipod Touch--and Best Price--any BF sales??

DD wants one of these for Xmas--her old Ilive that worked with her Ipod nano doesn't work with her new Ipod Touch. Her only request is she wants either purple or teal to match with her room.

I've been looking at these and am at a loss---looked at all the colored ones some small some bigger and don't know what to get. It should be easy since her last one has just an FM radio on it and is basically a charging dock for the Ipod.

For some reason I'm thinking the newer ones now do different things besides what her old one does. Can anyone clear me up on this. Should I just get a newer version with the same features or are there ones with other additional features that she would like? Her reasoning for getting this even though she has a microphone on the new Ipod touch is that it's like a boom box and you can take it outside??

So, my question is which brand/one should I get in purple or teal and what is the best price out there right now---I would prefer to not have to go out on BF and chase this down but don't want to spend alot on it either so am considering that. Was just wondering from those here who have an Ipod Touch what you use and how you like it. Thanks so much

Oh I 'd love to know too. I just got back from TRU and they have so many!! They range in price from 19.99 - 99.99!! I am so confused on which one to get. Ds9 is getting an itouch & DS5 is getting the new Nano. I really want to get each of them something but want to make sure it works with their type of ipod.

That's exactly my problem too the price range--Don't have the time to research every single price point and thought maybe someone here who has purchased or used a newer one would have some advice. I do believe that you will need to check the one you want to buy carefully on the side to make sure it's compatible with the particular Ipod you are using but I am just lost this time around when it comes to which is the best--smaller vs larger, brand wise and what the more expensive ones do compared to the cheaper ones.

I'd like to stay at $50 or under that's why I was wondering if anyone has these in their ads for BF and if they would be a good buy or not.

If anyone has any thoughts or knows of what will be out there on sale we would love to know.

My dd has the same problem. The new itouch doesn't fit the one she has now. I have been looking around and hope there is a drop in price soon.

At Aldi's they had one that is a DVD player (iLive), with a slide out thing for your ipod, and it hooks up to your TV. It was under $40 Got one for DD15 and will get her a TV for her room too.
