Just got back from our second stay at BWPPI. It was close, quiet, clean, and enough space for 5 people in a mini suite.

I agree with this, although BWPPI is the only place I have stayed when traveling there with kids, so I can't compare. We did 3 adults and 3 kids in a minisuite and if we had not had so damn much luggage it would have been plenty of room. Packing lighter next time.

Next time I will try Park Vue next door if the price is right, just to compare the two. With little kids I don't want to get any farther (further?) away from the entrance to the park. You cannot get any closer.

I was not terribly impressed with breakfast at BWPPI, but it was adequate. Just crowded and up a flight of stairs, which was annoying with kids. We always were in a hurry to get to the park so ate granola bars in the room, anyway.

Fairfield Inn (good location, easy walk, next to McDonalds, and my favorite so far on the off site ones.

HOJO would be second.

BWPPI is third.

Still throwing my hat in the ring for the Hotel Menage. It has a wonderful pool and hot tub area. A great poolside bar, 24 hour pool, which is great after a midnight closing park. Trip Advisor has some bad reviews because of noise both from I-5, & the pool music at night, but we didnt experience this, we sleep with AC and tv on. The rooms are upclassed holiday inn quality. Walking to the parks is a breeze, Starbucks and taco bell are across the street. The fireworks explode directly over the pool every night. It's our choice yearly. At 75-99 bucks, cant be beat for us. But YMMV..

GCH hands down...I know its pricey but man if you can just do it once...I woul recommend it.:dance3:

For off-sites, I've stayed at Best Western PPI, Tropicana, Camelot, and Ramada Inn Maingate. I'd recommend them in that order, although the continental breakfast at Ramada Inn was better than Camelot and Tropicana's :)

What did you like about the camelot?

I'm not sonnyjane, but one of the reasons we used to stay in the suite rooms at Camelot was because they had a small dining table. One of my sons was on a special diet, and we ate a lot of meals in the room, and it was nice to have a table. The rooms were always clean, and it was pretty quiet. We had many good stays there. The breakfast was poor, however, and the beds not that comfortable. It was also quite pricey. However the reason we stopped staying there because I was really dissatisfied with the management, and didn't feel that the customer service was very good in the last few years we stayed there. Hope this helps.

If I got the retro rate at HoJo, I would pick them based on Price. I picked other, as I like Sheraton Park for price and how nice it is.

Another vote for Candy Cane Inn from me! I like that there's free continental breakfast for those early days and the shuttle is a definite plus at the end of a long day. They have a AAA rate and will give you a discount certificate for your next stay. They are always nice and helpful. Pool is small but fine, and the place is nicely landscaped and not too "motel" looking. We always stay here when we can't stay onsite. Have fun wherever you end up!
