Every time I have cruised they have asked for our card to say our name. Maybe I just look like I am going to make it up. We do that on the ET ride at Universal.

You tell them right as you're entering the ship. A CM will ask you your last name and they will announce it and people will clap. We just came back from our first cruise (used our real name) and I managed to get it on film. I was filming and crying at the same time.

I think next time we'll be different though and go with one of the funny names.

As I was reading through this thread, I have been thinking that I KNOW I'll cry when this happens, and I guess that people will think I'm a freak. I'm SO GLAD I came across your post. Now I won't feel so "freakish!"

When I asked my niece (6yrs) last night how she want to be announced when we cruise in Nov she said "The Disney Cruisers".
