Best firework view from the room

I am thinking about going to WDW for the week of July 4. We are VGF owners so I’ll book theme park view for July 4th at least. (We do split stays so we will most likely stay somewhere else in a one bedroom the rest of the trip.) Assuming we spend the night at the resort and end up in the room(kids fall asleep early) which is the best option to see the fireworks from our balcony. BLT theme park, Poly lake view, or VGF theme park view?

I will most likely book 2 nights in a theme park view at VGF and waitlist whatever it is that is best. I am also a psycho stalker that can usually get what I’m looking for at some point with stalking.

BLT Theme Park View will give you the most options for a clear view of the fireworks. The higher the floor, the better IMO.

Agree BLT is probably best. However there are only 18 Theme Park studios at BLT. For the night of July 4th, they will be booked by owners at 11 months. Odds of getting one of those 18 rooms off the waitlist or even by stalking website are extremely remote.

to save a little money and the get awesome views, you may want to book a Contemporary Tower Theme Park view on July 3-5 and then get your Bay Lake Tower from July 5-end of vacation or get a BLT until July 3 than move into the Contemporary Theme Park View. . It is not a big deal switching hotels when you are simply just moving across the walk-bridge from the Contemp to Bay Lake. We found it a challenge to get a room anywhere at BLT on 4th.

I think that Poly lake view will be the most straight-on view of the castle, with fireworks centered on it, and would also allow you to see the fireworks that are shot off from various locations around the lagoon. That works best if you’re on the 2nd or 3rd floor; the bungalows obstruct the lower view from the 1st floor of PVB. VGF is a little more off to the side but not bad, while BLT is completely a side view, so you’d lose any appreciation of the symmetry. You’d hear the bangs, though!

IOW, book your home VGF lake view, and you’ll be in great shape if nothing else (Poly lake view) is available at 7 months.

I heartily agree.

Our first WDW trip together, we stayed in a CR Tower theme park view room so close to that end that the aerials seemed almost directly overhead.

We tuned the tv to the WDW channel for the audio, cracked the sliding door, and sat on our balcony to watch fireworks nearly every night of our stay. It wasn't July 4th but was nonetheless stunning.

In fact, we still refer to that stay as "Best Fireworks View Ever." It's pretty hard to beat sitting with snacks and sodas, wearing just enough clothing for basic decency.

Wow. We have lucked out with BLT standard as high as the 4th floor (with 5th floor being TPV) and the fireworks are so loud they shake the glass.

OP: when my kids were little and they fell asleep before the fireworks, they would actually sleep right through the booms. So don't let that deter you from trying for BLT TPV. But agree - it will be VERY hard.
