DH and I were just talking about it being nearly 5 o'clock and time for a cocktail... Of course, we then started talking about cocktails/drinks at WDW. We are DINKs and tend to enjoy the "foodie" part of WDW more than anything else. When we're there, we tend to go to Mizner's for a drink and order our regulars (Cosmo or cran/vodka for me; Sapphire/tonic or beer for DH). Where are the best drinks in the World?

I'm really not much of a drinker--I probably average 1-2 drinks a year. I've had 2 things at WDW. One I couldn't even tell you what it was. The other was the Grand Marnier slushie in the France Pavillion at Epcot--yum!

I enjoyed the glowtini. Of course, my husband assured me that he could put a blue glowing ice cube in a Nat Ice and it would improve the quality for me. What can I say, it was the glow that made me a fan! :lmao:

Lapu Lapu at Ohana's (I'm a sucker for anything rum related served in a big pineapple)..

Also, the pour of Guiness I had at Rose & Crown was just abotu the best I've ever had...

But, when I am eating/drinking at Disney, I'm more than likely to have a standard highball (gin & tonic) or a glass of wine with dinner.

Since you will be there after us (and therefore we don't have to share! lol!) the margaritas and tequilas are supposed to be fantastic at the new Cava del Tequila at the Mexico pavillion at World Showcase in Epcot. I have heard great things about it except that it is VERY small inside. (Hence the not wanting to share!) We will definately be trying it, most likely multiple times. DH is planning to drink his way around the World Showcase. Hope I have enough money saved up!! Have a great time!!!

DRINK: Jalapeno Margarita @ Cava del Tequila

BEER: Fin du Monde @ Le Cellier

I was just down there recently and only had a drink at a few places. I did enjoy the Middle flight of Tequilas, however. Like others have said, the seating is limited in the Cava del Tequila, but it was very enjoyable. :thumbsup2

The Captain's Mai Tai is served at a lot of the poolside bars. That is definitely my favorite!

OMG the Grand Marnier orange slushie drink in France. Samantha Brown talked about it on her show re WDW. Well I tried it and it was HEAVEN. One CM said men usually like the lemon ones and women liked orange ones. Well I tried the orange one and BELIEVE me it was outstanding. :woohoo:

I'll second or third the Grand Mariner Slush from France - I'm not a big drinker but this was so yummy - and went down a little too smoothly!! :thumbsup2

DRINK: Jalapeno Margarita @ Cava del Tequila

I live in Texas and this is quite possibly the best margarita I have ever had in my life  I have tried to replicate it at home many times and now need to go back to see how close I am getting! :rotfl: You can take them to go if the bar is too full to find a seat.

Next favorite is a Kir Royale from the kiosk in France.

If you have the time, Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness is a great place to relax and have a drink at the bar. Kettle One dirty martini's have been known to evaporate from my glass.

So many drinks, so little time...

I hear the Cotton-tini at T-Rex is good. It's worth the presentation to try it once and you get to bring home the shaker :3dglasses

My absolute favorite drink is the Lossburg Lemonade at the Germany beer booth. It is SO refreshing! It's a slushie, basically lemonade with Kirschwasser (a German cherry brandy). It almost has an herbal flavor to me, not really lemony not really cherry tasting either. I loved it about 100 times better than the slushie drinks in France. The best part is, at $7.50 it is cheaper & they serve it in a bigger glass. :goodvibes

I also like the Pina Colava's-you can get these pretty much anywhere.

They have some good water fountains in EPCOT. I also like the red colored vitamin water. And their selection of Coca-Cola products is very good.

Oh, you mean adult drinks?! Well...I...umm...BEER! I'm a simple guy and prefer the beers at Norway or Canada. Haven't really tried much else.

The strawberry margaritas at Kona in the Poly are the best margaritas I've ever had anywhere, in or out of the World.

Hello! (and I need to discover where to get my cuntdown sig yet:lmao:)

About the non-alcoholic drinks '*** my DBF doens not put a single drop of alcohol in his mouth :) wha'ts WDW has to offer being tasty and funny?

thanks!

I had my first frozen margarita at a kiosk in Mexico, yum yum. I make a point to have one every time I'm there. Also my first Guiness was at the Rose & Crown. Loved it.

My favorite was called the Rasberry Rapids at Artist Point resturaunt. Although a couple days later I saw the exact same drink called the "Lost on Safari" (I think that was the name) at Dawa Bar. It's a pina colada with rasberry in it. It seems to go by lots of different names, depending on where you are, a name in keeping with the location.

The best drinks in WDW are in Epcot. Best thing is DRINKING around the world!

In Mexico: frozen Margarita (the Fiesta Margarita; lime/strawberry/mango)

Norway: Carlsberg Beer

China: I had a ginsing Margarita...it was weird tasting, but I started to like it after a bit

Germany: Oktoberfest beer hands down the 2nd best beer in the park, pair it with a pretzel & sit by the water...its awesome & of course a shot of jager ;)

Italy: Italian Margarita or Moretti

American Adventure: Sam Adams :)

Japan: Sake or Plum wine, can't go wrong with either because they both taste amazing

Morocco: Moraccorita

France: the last time I went they had the Orange slush, but they gave me a VERY big glass not a martini glass it was strange but VERY delicious

the UK: Rose & Crown for a pint of Guiness (make that like 3) & a Leaping Leprechaun

Canada: Molson Beer & listening to Off Kilter.

Can't go wrong in the Park :) & of course at the Resorts there is usually a poolside bar with delicious drink selections! House of Blues also offers a happy hour during the week, I think it was like 4-6pm when I went, they have wonderfully crafted beverages there also. Captain Jacks at Downtown Disney has yummy drinks to. Hope that helps!!
