Hi, our family is going to Disney World for the first time on July 30th through August 2nd. We're planning to go the 4 Disney Parks-- one a day.

Our hotel offers a Breakfast Buffet, so we'll eat a pretty big meal that'll keep us going for most of the day. However, around lunchtime we don't want to leave the parks, so we're planning to get some fast-food (pizza, hotdog, coke, etc.) inside.

Where would you say you got the most/best food for your money in each of the 4 parks? There's 4 of us and we don't want to spend too much on food.

Thank you. :D

Epcot has the best choices.

Here are some of the better ones IMHO:

The food court in the Land
Yakitori House in Japan
The Cantina in Mexico
Fish N Chips in the UK

In MGM there really aren't any good choices for fast food. You might want to book a late lunch at one of the full service places, and combine lunch and dinner. The portions at 50's Prime Time are large and can often be split. Mama Melroses has flatbread pizzas on teh menu, and while they don't look like much they're tasty and filling, and not much more than the cost of burger and fries.

In the AK, Tusker house would be my pick. Lots of variety and healthier foods available.

In the MK there are a few choices, Cosmic Rays is my favorite fast food, they ahve a good chicken caesar salad. Peco Bills always gets good comments, although i haven't eaten there. And the Columbia Harbor House is another good choice if you like fish and clams. (And for some reason I think they have the best fountain Cokes in all of WDW!) Another idea at the MK is the Plaza. It's full service, but the portions are large and can often be split, so it could work out to be close in cost to fast food.

At Epcot you can also think about leaving out the International Gateway and walking to the BW or Beach Club. The BW has a pizza window and foot long hot dogs, and the BC has Beaches and Cream, which is full service but has reasonable prices and excellent food and ice cream.

Enjoy!

At Animal Kingdom, you can buy meal certificates. These are a great deal. You get a lunch, plus there are coupons to use for a free drink and a free popcorn/ice cream later. Here is the info from Deb's site:

"DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM
MEAL PLUS CERTIFICATES GOOD HERE!

Guests ages 12 and up $11.99

Guests ages 3-11 $5.99

Certificate is good for:

One counter service entree plus a beverage at any of the following: Animal Kingdom
counter service restaurants:
Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Tusker House.
One box of popcorn or an ice cream bar
One bottled drink (soda or water)

The certificates can be
purchased at any Animal Kingdom counter service restaurant and also
at Guest Relations in the park. This program was started as an
experiment last summer, and could be discontinued at any time. "

Check out the menus at www.wdwig.com to see which places has things you like.

We liked Pecos Bills--great turkey (or was it chicken?) wraps.

We also like the Plaza Pavillion (past the plaza restaurant up the ramp) they have a killer italian sandwhich that was more than enough for 2 of us.

cosmic rays in the MK :) you can get a half of a roasted chicken and mashed potatos for $6.99 (I think) it was enough for two of us to share, and we are healthy eaters!

Turkey legs are always good. That with a baked potatoe down by Tower of Terror for lunch in MGM. They do hamburgers and hot dogs to.
