My daughter battles excema on her hands and they are flaring up. I told her to keep hand cream on but she says it stings. Any suggestions? thanks!!

The Body Shop's Hemp Hand Salve. Very soothing. My son uses it with his eczema and doesn't complain of stinging. Some "drugstore" type creams have a lot of chemicals in them which causes the stinging.

I don't like anything with a scent. I use eucerin. My son went to the allergist today. They recommended cetaphil.

I'm a really big fan of Burt's Bees. I've used it on chapped hands (though not with eczema) and it was great.

Baby oil in gel form!!! I swear by it.

After showering or washing hands, leave the skin damp and apply a dab of the gel to seal in the moisture. It takes a few minutes for it to "sink in" but I have soft skin with no irritation. I don't have excema but don't like most lotions and creams on the market. My sister does suffer with excema and this works for her.

This stuff is honestly like magic! http://www.okeeffescompany.com/

No scent, no sting, you only use a tiny amount and it actually protects them AND heals them. Its thick and you only use a pea sized amount

I tried it at a trade show a few years ago and I can't sing its praises enough.

It has a store locator on the website I posted.

I would recommend Aquaphor (in a tube, very thick consistency)
Or Nivea (in a blue tub) or Eucerin (in a white tub).

These are very thick and greasy so after putting on the cream i wear cotton gloves overnight or nitrile gloves for an hour to let it soak in.

Aquaphor was recommended originally by DD's pediatrician/allergist.

And maybe use a super fatted bar soap for handwashing such as Dove or Cetaphil. Cetaphil is $3.49 a bar so try Dove first.

My daughter (14) has found Kiehl's ultimate strength hand salve is the only thing that works for her

Neutrogena hand cream. Fragrance free. Norwegian formula. It's a lot like petroleum jelly. Only hand cream I've used for 25+ years.

I'm a nurse & have battled dry, cracked hands for years. I've been thru many different hand creams, some of them making my hands even worse. I've been using Sally Hanson Dry Chapped Hand Cream for the last 4 or 5 years & it's great! I've even got several coworkers using it too.

I have very dry skin and make my own lotion bars using coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter. It's all-natural and amazing. It also healed my son's mild eczema. It's very easy to make, but you can also buy it at www.hardlotion.com. That's where I bought my first bar. Then I fell in love and make it myself (it's cheaper to make it myself). It sounds weird, but I encourage everyone with dry skin to at least try it.

DS has eczema. Aquaphor, cetaphil and cerave all sting his skin. Also anything with even the slightest scent is a no go.

He gets relief from aveeno eczema care cream. Thankfully, it has worked for years and he hasn't built up a resistance as he has to other products.

We use vanicream soap for face and hand washing, as well as bathing.
