Best Disney ship for Marvel themed fun

There is an app for Disney Cruise that is completely different from the apps for the parks. Prior to the cruise, it provides general information about your ship and cruise. When your booking window opens (75 days prior to sailing for first-time guests) you'll be able to use the app to reserve shore excursions, adult dining, alcohol tastings, spa treatments, and other onboard activities that require reservations. You can also use the app to online check-in beginning 30 days before your cruise. Both activity booking and online check-in can also be completed on the DCL website. Accessing the app before the cruise requires a Disney login, which can be the same one used for other Disney sites.

Once you are in range of ship WiFi in the terminal and onboard the ship, the app changes completely to show specific information about what's happening on your cruise, including daily activities. All passengers who have installed the app can log in using their room number, name, and birthdate even if they don't have a Disney account. For kids, there may be an additional parental approval step. The app allows passengers to text each other while onboard without buying an internet package.

Yea you will def need the app for all the activities and meet and greet times/locations!

Also, I didn't mention this before, but there are two meet and greats that you have to get a reservation for. It will open up to you I think 30 days prior? I forget the exact date, but just research some articles about it. I watched a ton of youtube vids too of MDAS

I am going to suggest looking into getting a DCL travel agent to help you navigate these waters. There still might be time to transfer the booking to them and they can really help you with all of your questions and making sure you know all the important information

I'm not so sure. I prefer to get help from people that aren't incentivized. Sales people, of which my wife is one and can attest, will often candy coat and generalize the negatives while over stating the positives. No one here is likely to do that. Past Disney cruise travelers are more likely to share the pitfalls than someone incentivized to sell the product, though with it being a paid for booking, there isn't much else to sell. Sill, I would prefer to avoid talking to Disney people.

I used a TA for the first time when we booked the treasure, and the nice thing is depending who you use, they usually give you some on board credit for using them. It's nice. You don't need to interact with them that much. Just some advice, that's what they're there for

Not sure it will be of any benefit to transfer it to a TA, money was already paid to Disney. The TA isn't going to add any incentives to a booking they won't get a commission on, I'm not even sure why they would even waste time speaking with me when they are commissioned and outside of me paying more, I don't see them earning anything.

I just wanted to secure the MDAS trip so I didn't wait to look for a TA. For the last two Celebrity cruises, I just booked directly with the cruise line since the TA I had been using was spending more time on cruises than answering emails. Literally, I think the guy was living on cruise ships.

It might not be too late to transfer and for a TA to get a commission. I am not 100% sure but it is worth checking on and honestly there is nothing that a TA makes commission on other than the original booking so they aren't going to upsell you.

You have a lot of questions and honestly I suggest if you do not use a TA then it is time to start researching. This board offers some help but there is a lot to know and we will miss some things without fail.

Is there a TA you would suggest? "You" being anyone that has used one and recommends them. Just PM me. I'll see if switching is possible.
