I am wanting to do a dinner show but there are too many choices... Hoop Dee Doo Revue, pirates, medevial, Seaworld. Which one do you think is the best?

Medieval Times is good, big atmosphere. Hoop De Doo is smaller, more personal of a show. Interaction with the audience, my family and I love it.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I really like M.T.and the Dixie stampede, followed by the hoop dee doo,The seaworld Luau was a great treat last month!Going to the Dine with Shamu on Sunday :cool1: The worse one so far has been pirates......... : pirate: :guilty: Hope this helps!

We do Slueth's Mystery Theater every trip. Lot's of fun in a smaller setting. But our kids are teenagers--it isn't really appropriate for the under 12 set.

I like Arabian Nights. I've been about a dozen times and the show is always great....the food at any of the shows leaves much to be desired.

This last trip (got home yesterday :guilty: ) we did Hoop De Doo Review and my boys (12,8,7,7) LOVED it. I'd booked it really early and we got a table right at the stage. I'm so glad we did it. We also did Arabian Nights. I wasn't all that impressed but my 8 year old son thought it was wonderful.

We've done Medieval Times and that's our choice for next time. Pirates was hard to follow the story line, just too chaotic.

We recently went to the Outta Control Magic Show at Wonderworks and everyone in our group ages 10-72 LOVED it! We have done most of the other dinner shows (BTW Hoop-de-doo is great) so were looking for something different this trip. It's very affordable - with the Mousesavers link to Ticketmania prices were $20 adult $14 child (up to age 12). It's all you can eat pizza (and popcorn) and all you can drink beer, wine or soda. Nothing fancy but not bad either. The show was hilarious and the magic was impressive too.

Ticketmania sent us the combo tickets (not sure if that was a mistake) so we also got to go into Wonderworks before and after the show. My 3 boys had been at DisneyQuest all day and liked Wonderworks better (like a glorified science center).

If anyone is looking for a fun, INEXPENSIVE dinner show - this is it!

We've (DH, DS(14), & me) done 3 of them, Arabian Knights, Dixie Stampede, & Hoop Dee Doo. We really like DS & HDDR review both. We think the food & show are better at DS, but the Fort Wilderness atmosphere is great too. We got are great price for AK. We paid $15/ person. I wouldn't return, even at that price. The show was very slow & quite boring compare to the others. We may have enjoyed it more, if we had gone to that one 1st. :confused3

We're really wanting to try some of the others also. Whatever you decide, come back & give us a review. :teeth:

This one's on my short list. Thanks for the review. :)

Where is this around and would a 5 yo like it? I also have 2 10 year olds?

Wonderworks is on International Drive - there's tons of other things in this area, not far from Sea World. The 10 year olds would like the show. I'm not sure about the 5 year old, but I think he/she might. We went to the later show (6:00 and 8:00) so maybe if you did the earlier show. The show is quite lively and they will probably get some of the jokes. They did have some younger kids participate (arrive early and sit up front) - my guess is they were 7 or 8 years old. I'd say it's worth a try...

were going to Dixie stampede this time around

My vote goes to Dixie Stampede. As a point of reference we've been to Hoop Dee Do, Arabian Nights (my #2), Medieval Times, and the Sea World Luau. We've seen both shows at Dixie Stampede, the regular show and the Christmas show (both different) and all of us have loved them both.

Our favorites are Arabian Nights and MT, my daughter adores Arabian Nights as it has a Unicorn in the show. We have also done Sleuths (Extremely Funny) and Dixie Stampede (Really Two Shows - Arrive early). I would be sure to stop by a place called "Know before you Go" as they frequently have discounted or BOGO on the tickets for some of the shows!! If you go to knowbeforeugo.com you can buy both the Arabian Nights and Pirates Show for Buy One Get One Free. If you have any questions just PM me. We have used this store in Orlando for the last 3 years. We also purchased our 10 Park Hoppers here last year.

We just got home on Saturday. Taking the recommendations from these boards we decided to try the Outta Control Magic show.

IT WAS FABULOUS!!!!! We had four boys with us 10,8,7,5.

They all LOVED it!

The adults were rolling on the floor laughing. It was one of the funniest shows we have ever seen. I can't say enough good things about it. Also, it is SO inexpensive! We got there about 7:30 and were first in line. We were able to sit right in front and two people from our party were picked to be up on stage. It was a highlight of our trip!

We just did the Dixie Stampede show last week. All four kids (ages 11-16) agreed that they liked Hoop De Doo better than Dixie Stampede. The two adults agreed.
