Best days to go to which parks end of August?

We're there August 23 -31 and I'm trying to decide when to go to what park so I can book a couple of restaurants. Can't decide on where to go August 28-30. Is DCA better on a Sunday or is DL?

Any help is appreciated!

I would strongly encourage you to buy a park-hopper pass so that you can go back and forth between the two. The difference in price is so negligible in comparison to the benefit that there isn't a reason not to buy the hoppers instead of the one-park-per-day tickets.

I have park hoppers! But I like to plan which park I'm going to go to in the a.m. so I know when they open and also we like staying in the same park for lunch.

In that case, DL will open at 8, DCA will open *unofficially* at 9:30 each day of your visit. As far as which park is best on certain days, there really isn't much of a difference. Remember that Magic Morning days in Disneyland are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, so on those days, guests are allowed into the parks at 7 instead of 8 if they have a MM. If you have a 3-day or more hopper, you get one MM. If you stay on-site, you have one each day it's offered. Obviously if you're using MM, you'll be starting your day at DL.
