I have the reg dining plan and would love some suggestions as to where to eat with 2 small boys. I remember finding cosmic rays way too crowded to even find a spot to eat. Thanks

Ive only been to Disney a couple of times but my personal favorites are Caseys corner in MK. ABC Comissary in DHS, Mexican pavilion in Epcot. Dont remember which ones I went to in AK.

At both water parks the absolute best food is the fresh mini-donuts. We even have people come to Guest Relations to get a shopping pass to come in for them.

MK: Cosmic Ray's (yes, it appears very crowded, but because of the shere size of this place I think it just looks more crowded than the others) We also like Pecos Bill's if you want to shy away from Cosmic Ray's

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (our very fav. CS restaurant on property)

DHS: Starring Rolls

AK: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari

Havent' been to the water parks yet, so I can't give input on a fav at either of those. Happily, we're adding those parks to our trip next time.

We too dislike cosmic rays. It appeared to be crowded to me because it was a madhouse filled with people who were taking up seats with strollers, bags, etc...The food was gross IMO as well.

Our fav CS-

MK-Columbia Harbor House
AK-Flame Tree
DHS-Pizza Planet
EP- Tangerine Cafe

BUT, if you want some really, really GREAT CS food you are only a hop, skip and a jump away from DTD in which you can find Wolfgang Puck Express. They have excellent food there!

Cosmic Rays is our favorite, followed by Peco Bill

Animal Kingdoms Restarauntorous and Pizzafari

Hollywood Studios, Pizza Planet or Backlot

Epcot Sunshine Seasons but my kids like Liberty Inn

Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard a must for mini donuts. CS dont remember the names but the are all typical

DTD is a must for Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich( which is cheap and we usually pat oop.)

Mk- c h house

dhs-back lot express

ak-pizza safari

epcot -elec umb.

MK - Cosmic Ray's. We love it. Lots of food choices and if you go at an offtime (either early or late lunch/dinner) it's not too bad for crowds. We also like Sonny Eclipse. Another MK CS we like is Pecos Bill's.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons. Lots of choices here! Generally something for everyone and fantastic desserts.

AK - While we love the food at Flame Tree BBQ, the birds are AWFUL. At least they were when we went. I'm terrified of birds, so lunch was really uncomfortable. I just wanted to hurry and go. Pizzafari seems to be the next best choice for us.

DHS - Sorry, we don't really go to this park so I'm of no help here.

I know you didn't ask for resorts, but if you find Cosmic Ray's too busy and don't mind taking the monorail you should check out the Poly's CS Captain Cook's. The food is really good and the setting is beautiful. :thumbsup2

MK: Casey's Corner (I love a plain hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut, and the Chicago dog was good too) and Columbia Harbor House (the anchors aweigh sandwich and fish and chips with malt vinegar are good)

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (last week I had a delicious mahi mahi nicoise entree, and it has a big selection)

DHS: Fairfax Fare is similar to Flame Tree Barbecue, and Starring Rolls has some good desserts

AK: I like Yak & Yeti quick service

In the Magic Kingdom, with two small kids, I would head to Columbia Harbor House. They have good food and they have ample indoor seating. Gotta love that Air Conditioning or Heater, depending on which type of horrible weather Orlando is throwing at tourists that day. Get seats upstairs for a quieter dining experience and more choice of seats.

Epcot's Sunshine Season has great food, but I find it rather noisy, crowded, and sometimes difficult to find a seat. I adore the vegetarian plate at Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

DHS means a trip to Starring Rolls for our family, but beware there is only outdoor seating and it is nestled next to and beneath a smoking area, which is a huge trigger for my asthma, so often these meals get lugged elsewhere in the park to enjoy.

Animal Kingdom requires a trip to Flametree BBQ and following the seating trail all the way to the water's edge to sit in a carved and painted pagoda and enjoy the view of Everest. Note, there is a place in the seating area to get sauces, napkins, and such, so don't feel you have to get all of those piled on your tray and balance them all the way to the eating area.

Downtown Disney hosts Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich. We find Puck's easier with small kids since they bring the food out to you and refill your drinks, which makes dining with children a lot easier.

As to the water parks. The Donuts were amazingly yummy, fresh and tasty. I have never eaten a full meal there due to the way I visit the water parks, but my son really liked a salad he got there.

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary & Backlot Express.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

The only thing I can't recommend is the counter service locations at the water parks since I have never been to either of them.

The mini donuts at the waterparks are the best. Love Flametree in AK, any World Showcase CS, Starring Rolls at DHS, and maybe CHH at MK. The MK is the toughest place to find good food. Puck's Express at DD is great.
