Best Crocs for Disney

Another vote for Cleos. They are, IMO, the best theme park shoe. You get the benefit of the Croc footbed, but you don't have the hot feet you get w/ the Mickey or Beach/Cayman styles.

I also just got some Sobeks yesterday. The Crocs website lists them as a men's shoe, but I really think they're fine for women. They look like many a women's sandal I've worn before! I probably will not wear these to the parks, however. They're still too much shoe for me for a theme park.

I've got the Athens (sandals.) While I wouldn't want to wear these all day in a park, do you think they would be comfortable to wear at night?

They didn't have the cleos in my size:sad1: I got the pink disney for me and the black one for DH. He agreed to wear them:cheer2: I decided I needed to try the shoes on the girls, so I guess I"ll buy them in the park or see if I can find them locally. I'll also probably look for the Cleos for me:rolleyes1 Thanks for all of your imput!

Just a quick note -- if you go to the crocs website, they have a size chart you can download, and place your girls feet on it to see what size you need.

Then you wouldn't have to wait, and they could have the crocs molded for their feet before you go...

My kids have crocs, but don't usually wear them for disney. Daughter tried it once and got blister from rivet where strap attaches. I buy the whole family keens. They strap on securely, have a cushiony sole and dry quickly when they get wet. Bonus: look better than crocs too.

Wow, here's an old thread:) I have Crocs and like them but I will offer one caveat: They can be hazardous on some wet surfaces. A couple of years ago DW and I were on the boardwalk at WDW early in the morning and the walkway was wet--in my Crocs it was like walking on ice:scared1: I was holding onto DW like I was an 80 year old man on an ice hockey rink:scared1:
As I said, I like my Crocs, but would advise to proceed with caution.:earsboy:

Thats odd. I walk in water a lot with mine and have never noticed any slipping at all. What kind were yours? I was wearing Off Roads.

After reading all the posts on these boards, I'm definitely going to look into these shoes for our family's October visit. The only thing I'm worried about is that my dd9 has extremely narrow feet, and my dh has very wide feet. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for which Crocs would be best for these issues?? Thanks :)

We are in the same boat. Because Crocs form to your feet. It has not been a big deal for the narrow foot child. Crocs are awesome because they do dry quickly and can be worn with or with out socks.

I personally have the Athena flip flops and the Mario Batali resturaunt shoes that have no holes and the skid/slip resistant soles. The one day I wore tennis shoes was my worst mistake. We went to AK and rode the rapid water ride and got soaked. I had blisters and could not walk for two days. Not good at all. I now know to wear my crocs and to take my flippies.

I have major feet issues and these are the only shoes that help with walking around on all of that concrete. The concrete can be killer on your feet. Do not buy the crocs at Disney they are way expensive. I found Mickey Bright yellow with Mickey cut outs at a Outlet store last year and they worked perfect.

I always make sure my girls have the same shoes on, for security purposes and memory recall. These were bright yellow and were easy to spot. Just my opinion. Comfort an Security out way fashion.

Yes Crocs can have slippery soles if they have been worn down. They have a resturaunt grade that has no holes and are skid/slip resistant. Trust me if there is a drop of water on the ground. I will find it and fall.

I have several issues including nerve damage in one foot. I decided to try the Rx Cloud. Even with socks they are too wide - ok to bum around in but not sure I could wear 'em a full day.

I was wearing the Mickey version. I think it was more of a problem on the wet boardwalk than concrete.

Just an FYI, for anyone looking for caymans for their kids right now, I just bought 2 pairs 2 days ago for $9.99 each w/free shipping on www.crocs.com. The colors/sizes were pretty limited, but I thought it was a great deal!

Crocs are out! Where have you been?

The new thing is duck brand duct tape. Just bring several rolls in various colors and trim to fit your feet. you can even mesh leotards to match and can explore various different thickness of soles. Good luck! It's the in thing and you will be the true trend setter with the ducks! Just wait till next year when people are discussing what color and type of duct tape do you wear?:thumbsup2

I have two pairs of Blitzens and two pairs of Gretels. I LOVE THEM!!! They have fuzzy liners, so you don't need to wear socks if you don't want to. I wore them at Disney last month and they were wonderful, especially since it was chilly. I wore my Sketchers sneakers only one day and spent the whole time wishing I had my Crocs! I have nerve damage in my right foot and toes and the Crocs are the one shoe I never have any pain with, no matter how much I walk in them. My son also has a pair of Blitzens and he loves them.

Those are my favorites! I wear them for work all the time!!!!!!!!!! They arnt the prettiest in the world but they do help in not falling!

I have the Malindi - I never have any problems with them walking all day. I also have 2 pairs of Alice, but I haven't tried them in the parks yet. I think the heel would annoy me after a while.

When I first saw these shoes, I thought they were the ugliest thing in the world. Now 1 year and 1 very worn pair of Beach Crocs later, I wouldn't wear anything else. I have given them the Disney test twice and it was the first time I never had any pain on my feet at all. No blisters, no sweating, and the very best part-when one of those well-known Florida storms came rolling through, my girls and I had dry feet in less than half and hour!:thumbsup2

That is too funny. When we were in Disney last March both of my DDs wanted to get a pair of Disney crocs. At first my DH was very reluctant in buying them because he thought that they would be very uncomfortable plus he thought they were the ugliest things ever made. Well he finally caved and bought the crocks for the girls, with that he said that they could wear them anywhere but the parks. After they bought them, he was examining the shoes a little more and decided that they would indeed be comfortable. Now FF to Disney in December....while walking around Epcot, DH noticed the stand that sold the crocs. He went over and bought his own pair, now he wears them everywhere (except for work because they are not allowed). When we go back in March I am hoping that they are still selling the Athens shoe, they seem like they would be very comfortable walking around in the parks all day.
