Best creative idea for character autographs??

We bought pillow shams from disneystore.com and used fabric markers. Fabric markers are supposed to make a solid line without the ink spreading when you write. I was careful to NOT buy the markers that require heat to set.

Thought about using one of those stitching rings but figured it would take too long. Instead, we just held a section of the pillow sham over an autograph book to make it easy for the character to sign.

Those are ADORABLE!!!!

I have seen several suggestions to use this book http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1423116704?pc_redir=1397692965&robot_redir=1 The Disney jr encyclopedia of characters Have the character sign their page. I haven't ordered yet but this my favorite idea yet.

We did this for our trip earlier the month... We took the book to staples and had them remove the binding and put a spiral bounding on it... That helped to let the book lie flat... The characters loved it... The best part was at 1900 park fare dinner where Lady Tremaine picked up the book and signed it... She then turned to my son and said "who wrote this"... He was laid "I don't know". She then proceeded to cross out anything bad it said about her... She then gives it
back and says "much better"...

Those that used a vinylmation...where are you finding it? I'd love a 9" solid color create your own vinylmation and can't find one that's not insanely expensive.

They sell them in the parks. We got ours on the Disney Store site. They pop up every now and then. You can sometimes find them on eBay, and there are also personal shoppers that typically charge retail+20%+shipping.

A while ago I have bought the book "How to draw Disney characters"
Once I have some good drawings I will put them in some sort of scrapbook.

On the one side my drawing on the other side the autograph of the character

Hope that I will have enough drawings until my next visit in WDW

You couldn't do it for everyone but DD4's prize possession is:

I'm 26, and I want one of these too!!!

I don't think this will work for the OP, but I thought I would throw the idea out there for people with tweens and teenagers who have "grown out of" autographs: taking "selfies" with the characters.

I've decided I want to do this myself on our upcoming trip. I've never really made the rounds with the characters because I always hate having my picture taken by other people. They only come out good 50% of the time because of bad angles and I'm prone to blinking. I'm just not very photogenic. Haha. This way I'll be able to take the picture on my phone with the front facing camera and get exactly the picture I want! Problem solved. :goodvibes

My 13 year old had a great time taking selfies with the characters on our last trip!

My boys are fans of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, so I purchased a 4 pocket binder to hold the cards (and for playing), and wrapped it old-school in a brown paper bag. I printed out/pasted a SOTMK emblem (cardstock) on the front, and packed a couple of sharpies, and that is what we ask to be signed.

So, even if not a SOTMK fan, maybe create a book protector for some favorite book/photo album/etc. and ask the characters to sign.

Where was this picture taken? The only place I've seen Chip and Dale is Garden Grill in Epcot... but this photo was taken somewhere else.

Goodness! Last trip in 2013 we nicknamed our "trip of Chip and Dale". I think we met them 5 different times in each of the 4 parks! :)

Before going, my 4-year-old grabbed her plastic frying pan to pack in her luggage to show Rapunzel (although Aurora had more fun with it). I wish we had thought to have it signed!

This was actually at Goofy's Kitchen at DLR last December.

We made a point of meeting them in all 4 parks on our last WDW trip. I intend to do a scrapbook page called "Chip and Dale around the world". :)

My wife and I went to WDW this past January. Before we left, I made a Mickey Mouse Silhouette out of 1/4" plywood and stained it light blue, it was about 15" wide, so large enough for signatures but still managable. We had each character we met sign it. I added a clip to the back so we could easily attach to our back-pack to carry it and display it was we walked the parks. We got quite a few positive comments on the idea, and the characters seemed to enjoy finding an appropriately prominent spot. Of course we saved a space in the center for Mickey!
