Where do we find them? The huge melt in your mouth kind :)

A version of the old Main St. Bakery cinnamon rolls can now be found at Gaston's Tavern, along with a pork shank (which still cracks me up).

These rolls are the best on property, that I've had.

Another vote for Gaston's. I never did have a roll from Main Street Bakery, but the Gaston's cinnamon roll was fresh, hot and not dry at all. Tons of drizzle and nice flavor plus it was HUGE!

Gaston's Tavern Cinnamon Bun is a new tradition for my daughter and me. We also have a new saying, "let's go get a cinnamon bun the size of your head!!!"

I didn't care for the ones at the bw bakery...kinda like grocery store quality :crazy2: I would hope gastons are better.

Aren't all of the buns cooked at a central bakery and brought to the sales locations? You get the same thing no matter where they are sold.

I never miss getting my cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery!! Actually, my friend is at WDW right now and I have told her that she needs to eat a cinnamon roll for me!

I've also heard that this is true. Almost everything that can be found at multiple locations is made centrally.

Not available at Main Street Bakery anymore, only at Gastons (and those are not the same as they have maple icing instead of vanilla) in MK. Main Street Bakery is now a Starbucks location and while they do still carry some Disney specific items, they seem to be cupcakes and cookies, NOT the cinnamon roll.

Hmmm... my friend is there now and saw them at the bakery on Main Street. She said she is going to get one today or tomorrow.

The cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery is now a Starbucks cinnamon roll which differs from the heavier, dense rolls at Gaston's.

The cinnamon rolls that you get at the resort food courts are the lighter croissant-type rolls with the thin glaze.

Not ALL cinnamon rolls are created equal. Case in point:

The old original MSB cinnamon roll, for which I have never had a chance to try:

They may both be called the same thing, but the evidence shows they are far from the same thing. ::yes::

Those pics are depressing. How could that pathetic, perfectly round, with barely a hint of icing thing replace that giant and people think it's a good idea?

As has been said, the ones that were served at the Main Street Bakery were the best. The ones at Gaston's are similar, though nowhere near as good.

I was never a fan of the main street bakery cinnamon rolls. I thought they tasted gross and not at all like a cinnamon roll. Also the ones I had were stale. I went right at park closing so I don't know if that played any kind of role in why i never liked them but I never wanted to get another one. I had two bites and threw it out which was really sad for me. I'm not normally one that would throw out disney food so you know i didn't like it.

As for what is the best cinnamon roll on property I would recommend Gaston's tavern. They do have a bit of a maple-y taste with some cinnamon thrown in. It does has more of a cinnamon roll taste than the main street bakery one does though which was good! It was also freshly made when I went which was a huge plus! I thought they cinnamon roll was only ok though but it was in my opinon the best cinnamon roll on property. I personally am not a fan of disney cinnamon rolls in general though so if it were me I would chose to get a chocolate croissant. Those are really good anywhere on property.

To be fair I can't confirm that sad Starbucks cinnamon roll is what is served at the MSB nowadays, that was just a stock photo I found for a Starbucks cinnamon roll.

We were never that impressed with the ones at Main Street Bakery, either. I can go for a denser roll, but I prefer a more marked cinnamon taste. MS Bakery and Gaston's both rely too much on the icing for my taste. Which is not to say I haven't stopped by both place on more than one occasion for a nibble...:rotfl2:

That said, if you like the heavier cinnamon roll and a lightly-flavored maple icing is to your liking, here's a pic of Gaston's version. It's not as heavy, chewy or as topped with frosting as a Cinnabon, for comparison. The ones I've had at Gaston's were always warm, though I know other people report otherwise, so I don't know if it's a matter of timing. I've never asked for extra frosting, either, although I hear you can. Like I said, I'm just not a fan of all that icing.
